Disclaimer: this thread/post has all the makings of a hur internet I'm totally cool and drunk boastfest, so I'm going to post it in the spam forum. But holy shit.

I was reading a news article on some alcoholic and his daily intake and blood alcohol levels and all that. After looking around for a bit I found this blood alcohol calculator. Now I have no idea how accurate it is, but I decided to try it with a particularly drunken night involving a liter bottle of Bacardi Special. That's 37.5% and I drank the entire thing unmixed in about two hours. Disregarding the beer I drank earlier that night and combined with my other information that came down to 0.523 percent (This site says 0.510 with the same information.) Needless to say I blacked out and apart from still being drunk six hours later when I woke up in a pile of my own puke it wasn't all that shocking. At least until you see wikipedia tables like:

0.40-0.50

Unconsciousness
Death is possible
Breathing
Heart rate

≥0.50    
Death


Seriously what. You try it with the worst night you can(t) remember.

Thing is I realized it was a lot, but I wasn't expecting it to be this bad. I kind of feel like I dodged a second bullet. The first one was when the guys that slept in the room with me told me I was lying on my back while puking and they didn't have the sense to roll me on my side or anything. Thing is this happened on a school trip. One of the guys is a friend of mine, but the other just a classmate. Needless to say the latter wasn't really all that happy. Well at least it makes a funny story. Plus I learned my lesson and stopped drinking hard liquor when drinking drinking. Once I really get into it, I can't seem to stop.
