This game rocks. Codes, guys, I'd like to play with you tomorrow. Mine's in my sig, it's 0989-1440-2530.

By the way, if the options button doesn't appear on your Wifi menu, you have to either erase your save data or wait a week while Nintendo sorts out the problem. And by "erase" I mean erase the Brawl save file from the Wii's data management menu, which I did, and Wifi works fine now.

To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

My friend said that Sonic was overpowered. Since I don't have the game yet, I can't arrive to this conclusion. Truth, or just someone with good skills fighting a bunch of newbies?

Thor

Teers in smash bros are bullshit. The only situation where they make more than zero difference is if both players are the kind of ultra tourneyfags that know the number of frames in an f-air l-cancle.

I got it yesterday, it's amazing. There's all these tweaks to physics that make it great, like characters being thrown off stage being able to collide with other characters, tripping (I haven't figured out exactly what triggers this yet, but I think its when you change directions too much too abruptly too rapidly.) Gliding, oh man so much!

The sound work in the game is absolutely fantastic as well.

Two things I have to ask though, in the last thread (Or maybe this thread) I saw a video with Metaknight flying a circle around the whole damn Hyrule Temple. How did he manage to fly up, and how do you change directions and keep gliding?

Also, where can I get a list for how to unlock all the stages and characters?

I'll give you guys my friend code once I feel I've learned the game enough. Probably this weekend.

looks like the fastest way to unlock them up to snake is to just play a bunch of 1 stock high handycap vs matches against a computer.

Yeah, I already got a list of how to unlock all the characters and stages from my friend now.

Now I just need to figure out how to select samus in her zero suit form to start the match. I know it can be done, just not how.

All the sites I've searched say for the gamecube controller or the classic, hold R and select her, Wimote, hold -, and for the wimote and nunchuck, hold Z.  None of these work. Nor does doing the up,down,up taunts.  How the hell do I make her Zero suit without a smash ball?

EDIT: Ooohhhh, you have to hold the button while selecting her and until the game starts.
EDIT2: Ooohhhh, the up,down,up taunts do work, they just have to be really really fast.

Doesn't let you copy or move the Smash Bros. save file.

EDIT: For convenience's sake, here's all the friend codes posted in this thread so far in no particular order. Rupee posted his earlier, but I forgot where.

I got it

Does anyone else feel that subspace emissary is really monotonous? Other than that, the game is excellent, but just playing through SE is really dull.

I play it with my sister. Try turning up your difficulty a bit.

But I do have to admit, it makes it quite difficult to unlock Wolf, Jigglypuff, and Toon Link. I'm not sure if Sonic can be unlocked by playing Classic with 10 different characters, but if not, he can be unlocked simply by finishing SSE. Actually, not simply, SSE is pretty long.

SSE is more fun with two players by the way, but it generally takes longer.

Now I'm gonna go add all of those friend codes, except Rupee's because I don't know his.

EDIT: Added.

This is the first time I tried playing online, and I'm having connection problems. My wii is only 2 rooms away from my router, and I can't get more than 1 bar and can't connect to anyone. I wanted to try a random match against a random person to see how the game is online, but I can't. :(

EDIT: My list of Brawl mains:

The Zeldas
The Samuses
Link
Ganondorf
Pit

Strangely similar to my melee mains-

The Zeldas
Samus
Link
Ganondorf
Game&Watch

Although, really, I'm good with everyone, those are just my 5 favorites/best.

Maltese

the mains I've been using are Falco and Diddy, I've got Star Wolf and Toon Link left to unlock, and tomorrow I'm going to get all the map edit packs and get the rest of the levels, as well as the remaining characters.

then I would have completely beaten brawl.

AirPumpClock

Quote from: octorok clock;1251569Just finished unlocking everyone.

 :)

Added you and Positive. By the way, that friend code is only for Brawl, not the entire Wii.

I'm beating SSE rather slow, since my sister insists on not missing any of the story. I don't blame her, so we always play it together.

EDIT: I don't really main any particular character, but I particularly like Mario, Luigi, Fox, Falco, Meta Knight, King DeDeDe, Wario, and Lucario.

0130-1474-7574 again because apparently everyone missed me when they were adding everyone in the thread.

Quote from: JointClock;1249501so my cousin just got ssbb and it didnt work out of the box it had a disc read error, this happen to anybody else?

It's happened to a lot of people.  It's because your Wii is dusty and you have to send it in to Nintendo.

Quote from: LincolnGrinder;1250078actually i saw a bunch of people with ssbb (not preorderd) standing to return them so maybe they ripped off the people who didnt pre buy it????:sherlock:

No.

Quote from: Ganondorf;1250780tripping (I haven't figured out exactly what triggers this yet, but I think its when you change directions too much too abruptly too rapidly.)

I've only had this happen to me on ice or on banana peels.  Ice is probably random, and the reason for tripping on banana peels should be obvious.
