People Keep saying a lot of crap about it, but I for one thought it was fantastic! Don't get me wrong, it was, in every aspect, a cartoon, but it was an awesome cartoon! It stayed totally true to the old series, with jokes, characters, racers, and situations, all of which were awesomely cheesy! The only thing they changed was that, in the show, he was a rally racer, and in the movie he was a derby racer, but that all changed when he had to enter the classic anyway. When he was in those races, on the mountains, and the gadgets, and the Mach 5, with Trixie in the helicopter, I was like "now this is Speed Racer!"

I have been kinda loking forward to it so I imagine its an FZERO movie. Even the Wii game rocks.

Not enough people are familiar at all with the old television series or are perceptive enough to know that the film is supposed to look cheesy and not be taken seriously.

Its enertaining but nothing like the anime series

The problem with it is that you need to understand the TV show to understand how it is. Watch Speed Racer the series before watching the movie. Its the exact same thing. The Badguys are PLAIN AS DAY BAD. and the good guys are OBVIOUS! Sparky is a weak faggot also.
