Eggman was his original Japanese name and for some reason they've started calling him that in recent English sonic games

I didn't really mind Eggman. I played Sonic Adventure for the first time I ever played the dreamworks dreamcast, and I thought it was amazing. So I kind of associate Eggman with that.
