I think if Google was a drug, everybody would smoke it. It has to be pretty trippy if it's a website that's a drug!

HotPocketClock

FileCabinetClock

the man, the legend

Internet addiction exists. But I don't think it's dangerous like drug addiction is. I've been addicted WoW, GW, RO and every other MMO I've come into contact with for God knows many times, and I can still just as easily walk out of my own house and pretend that I'm just like every other civilized human being.

Fact is, only the weak get addicted. if you can't take it, then don't. You'll just make it easier for news fucktards like these to target everyone else.

Let's test this out!

QuoteDo you feel preoccupied with the Internet (you think about your previous online activity or anticipate your next session)?
Yes, of course.
QuoteDo you feel the need to use the Internet with increasing amounts of time in order to achieve satisfaction?
I just make my mark and most of it is due to procrastination/too lazy to actually work on stuff I should be doing so really I just browse forums and play games all day instead of doing important things
QuoteHave you repeatedly made unsuccessful efforts to control, cut back or stop Internet use?
Only when I have been abroad, on the other hand when I'm on holiday I don't really feel the need to use the PC.
QuoteDo you stay online longer than originally intended?
I intend to spend the day on the internet.
QuoteHave you jeopardised or risked the loss of a significant relationship, job, educational or career opportunity because of the Internet?
Funnily enough, almost.
QuoteHave you lied to family members, therapist or others to conceal the extent of involvement with the Internet?
Mother: GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND GO TO BED
Me: Just 5 more minutes! (5 hours)
QuoteDo you use the Internet as a way of escaping from problems or of relieving, for example, feelings of helplessness, guilt, anxiety or depression?
Well if I'm stressed or depressed I usually just play games.

Okay so my score is...
5.5
(I had an almost in there)

So yes I have an internet addiction problem!
Where do I see the therapist?

AMPEEEM

You know, I bet some younger people who grow up with the internet get addicted, but I don't think I'm addicted... Well, ok, if addiction is when I get pulled away from my computer I start wanting to get back on, then no.

if addiction is going somewhere really boring, and just being able to think about wanting to get home so I can sit on the computer, then kinda.

The truth is, I like the internet, I use it a lot when I'm at home. I may have health issues later in life from it. But does that really mean that I'M "addicted" to this shit? Heeeell no. And you know why? Because I'm already addicted to one thing. The ladies.

And even if The Ladies is plural and not one thing at all, and aren't things to begin with they are people, its still what I'm all about, baby. I don't need this fucking pc junker, I can go out anytime I want and probably hang out with a girl! Ya! Thats what separates us, you guys. Yep, I can work it.

What, you say? But Ampmemem, how can you tell us that you use the computer so much but also go out and see women all the time? You'll all see, the answer is quite easy. I have eliminated sleep. In the day, I sit still on the computer and chit chat, but I am really regaining my energy, for my night time activities. I go out into the streets, swinging a chain and walking with a stretch. My eye brow raises at the sight of a wooooo-man, and then, well, I don't wanna reveal my secrets.

Il Duce

I'd say I am, but I get addicted to a lot of stuff that isn't addictive.

I grew up thinking I was safe from internet addiction.  Now I'm the administrator of an internet "forum."  What I thought was a harmless hobby has turned into a full-time responsibility, and the consequences of my actions are very real.

Don't make my mistakes.  Don't do "internet."

Hello, my name is GearBoxClock, and I'm addicted to the Internet. It all started in 2000, when My family bought a computer. It all went spiraling down from there. Now I'm a member of a clock-based fourm and play games like Halo CE and WarHammer 40k DoW. I've even thought about modding or upgrading my PC myself.
