I never played any of them past the second one for dreamcast. Is it still good after that? Soundtracks still as cool?

TequilaClock

They noticed it was dead 7 years too late.

Now for Sonic...

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 for GameCube was ok. But I really prefer THPS2 for PSX.

Kaijuclock

the last tony hawk i played was underground for ps2, and only because i could upload anyones face and make a skater out of them!

NintendrCkolc

the last TH I took seriously was underground..

1 and 2 were by far the best.. After that the idea just got stale.

THPS3 is awesome. The Xbox version of the first two games (THPS2X) is pretty good too.

Well its the difference between "derp we should ban fatty foods" and "I am going to literally rape every american child after you vote me in"

3 was actually pretty damn good, as well.  It's after that where things got really stale.
Underground was notable for having a story and all that, but the fun died with that really quickly.

Why does it even need a story anyway? I think it just needs "One day Tony and his friends decided to skate in places some of which aren't very convenient but still fun to do."

And you're right.  The story didn't help the games out very much.
Also most of them were bad stories.

Hold on I'm pitching the idea for a Pong JRPG to namco

AMPEEEM

it picked up a LITTLE in terms of GAMEPLAY at THUG 1 but after that they made shit

TremcladClock

It's time to put Tony Hawk out to pasture. Neversoft's abandoning of the franchise would suggest that someone within their organisation has an ounce of intelligence.

Quote from: TequilaClock;1496156when was the last time Tony ever skated? 2001?

He still skates but for fun, not competitively. He's middle aged now, he could hurt himself pretty bad.

He'd throw out his hip trying to show up the youngsters
