I don't see how anyone who's native in English could struggle to understand Yahtzee.

I didn't bother to read this whole thread (39 pages holy shit) but I'd like to say that although Yahtzee is a good and funny reviewer he has shit taste in games sometimes and I wouldn't use him as an indicator of how good a game is.

He has an irrational hatred of fighting games and MMOs, hates above average games like Mirrors Edge because they didn't meet his inflated expectations. I think I remember him reviewing Shadow of the Colossus poorly too, but don't quote me on that. Games he thinks are good that are shit is harder to come up with because he hates everything but Prince of Persia and Portal and one or two other I don't remember. I'd have to look through his whole list of reviews to find more examples but I think his poor reviews can be summed up in "I'm a edgy teenly high standards to the point that if you listened to him you would never play a new game ever"

This is the only thing that I don't like about ZP, but he STRESSES IT SO FUCKING MUCH that in the last weeks it's 90% of the thing. Hell, you could take this week's episode where he'd keep blabberin on how the game wasn't as good as the movie.
 Also that contest between inFamous and Prototype a few weeks ago was awful beyond belief.
