there's nothing hardcore about drawing violent things it just means you were the weird kid

Loki Clock

When I was in the 1st grade I wrote the word "ass" on a drawing to impress some douchebag and the teacher covered up the second S to avoid great shock.

Also I'm sexually repressed, so I didn't start drawing mangled ladies until a couple years ago.

Quote from: Thor;1706578I'm starting to feel like a weirdo for never drawing gory shit.
.

AmberArachnidClock

Most of my drawings were fine but I wrote some very gory stories...

Topcatyo

What's weird is that when I was really young I drew gory shit, but after middle school when I was supposed to be filled with all that teenage angst, I drew really cool shit like fantasy (not swords and sorcerers kind of stuff, but really just anything that can't really happen in real life) and goofy stuff.  I haven't really drawn all that much violence since high school.  Meanwhile, everyone else was all blood and guts in my art class.

RabidClock

Look, if they didn't want kids drawing decapitated bodies, they wouldn't have given the teenage mutant ninja turtles sharp weapons. Also nobody said anything bad when I drew Iraqis getting blown up during the Gulf War.

Converse

I drew naked ladies with dicks. Nobody told me girls didn't have a penis

I don't think it really means you were weird. Most of the kids I knew drew violent shit. I didn't draw that much, but I certainly drew a violent thing or two. Boys are into violence, I mean, I can't even tell you how many hours I spent playing guns when I was a kid.

AstronautClock

I drew a mickey mouse I still have it

We should have a thread where we scan all our old artwork. I've got my old second grade drawing notebook under my bed.

DiscoBallClock

If I look enough I can find those roadsigns I drew.

I'm not at my house right now so I'll scan them when I get there and post them here or something monda most likely or tuesday

FLOUNDERMAN_CLOCK

And now to dig my scanner out of this pile of cardboard boxes and wrapping paper my mom has made.

Topcatyo

I can find some old drawings of mine.  Not second grade old, mind you, but still fairly old.

Silly Putty Clock

I really don't want to bother looking for my old drawings.
Then again, it would be something to do off of the computer. I'll consider it.

ProzacClock

this one time in grade 2 they told us to draw whatever we want and i wanted to draw 2 guys doing karate but i didn't because i thought that was too violent and i drew a vulture instead

Silly Putty Clock

This one time in kindergarten my class was given this weird arts and crafts assignment where we were given paper cut-out silhouettes of a generic human figure and we were supposed to draw in details on them. Most kids drew clothes on them, but I drew mine naked. Of course, mine was anatomically correct. I got into a bit of trouble over that.
