CD Clock

Just saw it.

It's worth seeing just for the effects, the movie is gorgeous and it's the first time 3D has not annoyed me.

Quote from: SnakeClock;1707898Haha, the Bum Review of Avatar said he didn't like it, and that somehow seemed to bring out all the Nostalgia Critic fans that are "calling out" Avatar for being "unoriginal and just pretty" and calling people that liked it "duped".

wow this guy never fails to be an irritating little shit

PirateClock

AwesomeMan

I enjoyed it thoroughly. Every second my eyes were barraged by a visual masterpiece. As for the plot, I liked "Dances with Wolves," so it was inevitable that I enjoy this movie. Great flick. I recommend seeing it in 3D though. The 3D was very clean and made the movie seem more realistic then it already was. And I agree with PirateClock. About the tits. Indeed.

GearBoxClock

Thor

I saw it in IMAX 3D yesterday.

Holy shit the writting was SO BAD. It was painful. All the characters that turned out to be "good guys" (ie traitors) had personalities and never made any mistakes, but the eventual "bad guys" where all shallow stereotypes who had little motive for their actions, often taking the more difficult of two options just so they could look more evil.

The human ships are designed I'm a edgy teenly. They have huge ships and holographic displays, why the hell do they have open air gun turrets and glass cockpits? Especially on the mechas. Plus all the helicopters seem to be made of C4, blowing up violently from a single arrow shot at a propeller or a bump into a cliff.

The main character was also an epic idiot who had no motive for practically anything he does ever and acts totally unrealistically.

To spite all the shit in this movie though, the graphics ARE badass, and I can't seem to bring myself to hate a movie where a badass drill instructor in a mecha has a knife fight with an alien hippy riding a space panther.

edit: Btw i haven't read or watched any reviews yet so that's just my take on the shit writing.
edit2: The Bums review was pretty spot on, to spite the terrible and unfunny character of the "bum" he used to give it.
edit3: It also bugged me how the deaths of a ton of the humans during the raid is written off and ignored while we get slow-mo "THIS IS SO SAD" sequences of random no-name smurfs dieing.

I'm sure there's something more to it than that

considering the name of the movie
Turns out you're wrong!

To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

Thor

Was anybody else bothered by how this movie's planet has the same name as Borderland's?
