and you look everywhere, and it's a mystery, and you wonder where it could have gotten to, and you think it can't be anywhere it must be? I'm quite certain that my book is in Normandy. It was in my living room, on the sofa, two nights ago, and now i'm sure that without my help it is in Normandy. I couldn't even get to Normandy if I wanted to, and yet this book, by its intrinsic qualities alone, has made it there. What does a book do in Normandy? If I placed an apple outside on my window ledge, would it travel farther than an orange? If I went back two nights and placed the book on the coffee table, would it still be there now?

One time I lost my iPod charger and I couldn't find it for nearly half a year. Then, one day, I was walking to my bed, in my room, and my foot kicked it. I walk around in my room plenty and for 6 months I never touched my charger, or saw it on the floor, until then?

I have absolutely no explanation. I guess I'm just dumb.

It took six months audio detox for you to regain the necessary levels of sensory perception to locate the device. It was there all along!

I lost a teacup the other day and my first idea was to telephone it so that I'd hear it ringing. And yesterday I heard post coming through the letterbox so I went to check my Gmail inbox.

i had a usb cord sitting on top of my PC tower, and thats where i kept it. Then, one day, i went to plug something in- and it was gone.

I still have no idea where it went.

Paranoid

I had a phone number written on the back of a business card in my pocket yesterday. I went up to my room to call the number, to find it waiting for me next to my phone.

I lost a SOG multitool for like 4 years one time. I was over at my cousin's place in the basement and was drunk and set it down somewhere, it got put inside a cupboard apparently and I'd asked him about it but he never saw it.

Years later we were drunk again messing around in the basement playing beer pong or something and he asked me to grab something out of the cupboard and lo and behold here's this multitool that I've been looking for for a bit less than half a decade.

Belgium is where European families tell their children that the bogeyman resides when they're naughty.
