Okay, nobody actually called themselves diehards but you know exactly what I mean. I also admit every change in staff has met with people unhappy with how things are run, however, right now we have people that are actively looking for reasons to troll and harass other members. Nobody actually gave a shit about Blob's stolen username, at least not nearly enough as it was made out to be. That was an exercise in how much they could use this system to embarass or at least bait the current staff into fucking up in some way. I'm not sure why everyone is so dead set on having "their" A-Team in charge, when the elected staff is doing just fine. Remember when posting something slightly off-color resulted in a 30-day ban by whoever had a shitty mood? I'm not sure if we have that little members left, but the Grinder is awfully quiet compared to two years ago and if someone shows up there, it's nearly always a day or three. Complaining about a ban instantly resulted in 2 extra months being tagged on to it, now there's people absolutely LOSING THEIR SHIT over three-day bans and the staff basically has to act like they're goddamn judges being held to account for an innocent life sentence.

If people focused on getting along instead of fighting for their god-given right to have their buddy in charge, this subforum would be empty. If I try to start a regular conversation about a random topic that may or may not end up getting interesting, the first reaction is a single line that basically says "I'm posting here because I don't want this to go anywhere". I understand you are now going to say that was a legitimate reaction to the thread, but it wasn't, because if it was you would have contributed a better version of what was, in your opinion, a bad example (for instance). We have created a system where we can appeal three-day bans that are given, mostly, for completely legitimate reasons. This is not how it should be, even if someone is banned unfairly, the smods here are referees, not policemen. When a decision is made, the decision is made. It's different for permabans or insane, out of proportion month-long bans.

I don't think that's the issue here, it certainly isn't for me. Absinthe and Sarez are both admins, so yeah, my buddies are already in charge. My problem is Corpse and the way he's been acting. Small potatoes or not, he's not dealing at all well with the issues that are coming up. If he'd back off and let someone else take care of shit getting stired up, it would settle down. Look at how quickly the Blob situation quieted down when Slurpee and Absinthe actually said something meaningful. That's how to be a good member of the staff. Corpse doesn't defuse drama, he adds fuel to the fire.
