I went to go check this out and it seems the site is down again.

I think the new design has a nice interface, undecided on the new aesthetics. It seems like typical Newgrounds black/grey/gold/red with scanlines and such, the background images idk. Overall it doesn't seem like a bad redesign for functionality.

I'm viewing all this on a tiny netbook because the power's out in my apartment, and... I don't know if I like it.  Yet I know that something had to be done.

Maybe I'll like it more when I get back to a bigger screen and a better connection.

i can deal with the redesign but i dislike the new portal system.  it works for the art portal, but i think what they had (the list being in word form) worked really well for the games and movies

Not actually random, the background/footer/colors change depending on where you are on the site.

Red happens to be designated to movies, which is where you will always find ol' SBC at the bottom.

This redesign feels like eye-rape to me.

I agree.. the backgrounds are hard to absorb.


Its a little hard to navigate to find latest submissions (beyond the classic portal page) or figure out why certain movies are listed where they are (clicking the movies drop down still shows Astronaut's movie as a latest movie?)


Playing with some of the features tho.. I'm liking a lot of it.

The little messages on the movie pages about voting and reviewing fairly won't be heeded.. but its nice it matters to them

Since they changed movie lists to images I can't use ctrl+f to find specific movies in somebodies profile page

edit; Movie manager no longer says how many favorites your movies have... It would take me half an hour to figure out which of my movies has the most favorites now

Because it is the latest movie. There's some issue with uploading.

Anyway I don't like it, I already adblocked the backgrounds. Turd is gone, which sucks. Instead of providing authors with more information about their submissions like I don't know, how many people watched your movie the last week or whatever, they provide even less. Like how many people favorited a particular movie.

It seems like everything is worse and nothing is better. It's not just that it's change and makes me butthurt, this is seriously just a really bad redesign

I find the new design to be really confusing! One thing that really annoys me is that it doesn't tell you when you've deposited your experience for the day. It just tells you to keep voting. So i was like wait? Do I have to vote on more than 5 movies per day now to deposit experience? I had to go and look it up to make sure that it's still kept at 5.
Another thing is that you have to hover your mouse over the 5 stars to see the score of the film. That means that if you wanna check out if you've been able to raise or lower the score of a film, you first have to hover your mouse over the stars, then vote, and then hover your mouse over the stars again to check the new score. It's so unnessesary. Furthermore I'm really annoyed by the fact that I still haven't been able to figure out where you go if you want to change your aura and shit.
