I like the looks of the new design, generally. It's not as compact as the old one, which is sort of a bummer because my screen resolution and taste in web design haven't really changed since the last redesign. I'm not too sure about the new site organization, but there are some things I like about it. Above all, I hope it works out in NG's favor!

Stepping back and thinking of NG in relation to other sites on the web, the vote on 5 movies and then "thanks for the overtime!" thing was a really stupid idea, which should've been stopped long ago.  Implying a limit on how much a user ought to be browsing and contributing input to your site can only drive users away.

I can see why experience should only be gained for a limited number of votes to prevent abuse, considering that other websites do not have an equivalent to Grounds Gold. Yet it seems to be less important now. Rankings and voting power aren't even on the profile home pages anymore.

I wonder what place I'm in now? Last I knew I was 40-something...
