i think the only way to "balance" it would be to make it one item at a time.

I don't get why people keep saying this. He's not even the first character to have this sort of ability. Mr. Gay Man Watch could catch projectiles, ANY character can catch thrown items, Kirby and Dedede could catch projectiles and shoot them back as stars, all the mario and fox clones could reflect pretty much anything...

IMO it's not even as good as the mario cape move.

EDIT: Speaking of Mario, I wonder what he'll have this time instead of the FLUDD since Mario Sunshine isn't relevant any more. Maybe he'll get the spin back?

No he has FLUDD, just saw a Megaman gameplay video with it
I don't remember seeing the spin, it was my favorite mario move imo.

Everything I'm hearing about Dark Souls 2 at E3 is fucking AWESOME

Boss that includes player summoning like the Old Monk boss in Demons Souls
High level of difficulty (apparently none of the journalists have been able to beat the demo boss yet, although the guy running the booth did)
Much improved graphics
Everybody seems to be saying it's great with no real complaints

Pretty much, no. Levels aren't the main way to gain power due to PvP ranges, and you can go to a higher difficulty as manty times as you want. Also the story is not explicitly told. The main focus of DS is interacting with other players. Beating the last boss doesn't mean much.

There is still a plot and level progression like a normal RPG. Buttplug is just referring to the "New Game +" feature that many japanese RPGs have as if it means the game is infinitely long, which isn't really accurate. The enemy AI does change in NG+ though

If you want levels set up like Gauntlet (multiple "worlds" with 5 zones set up in a row) play Demon's Souls and if you want a levels set up like a Metroidvania with branching paths and shortcuts play Dark Souls.




Seriously though guys, if I had to pick one game that I'm most hyped about this E3, it's Dark Souls 2 by a wide margin.

I'm hyped the most for MGS V. I already have Demon Souls and Dark Souls. I just need to play them.
