Yeah, I mean it makes sense for like complicated 3D rigs because that shit takes weeks, but if all your movie is other people's art being tweened around the screen, then maybe animation isn't for you.

Low quality flash animations/animutations did used to be a cool niche thing, but now that "genre" is so over crowded everyone has stopped giving a shit. This is probably why the Clock Crew has seen a drop off in members, contributions and controversies lately.

I really like the idea of the Clock Crew, but we can't cling to the past. I'd love for the Clock Crew to be more focused on teaching young artists good animation techniques and sharing well made movies, rather than two shapes on a screen with a shitty TTS wav.

I would love to lead the clock crew in bold new directions, but apparently not as much as I love to masturbate and fall asleep listening to daft punk, so I just don't really say anything

I don't really have the time to make Clock animations any more, because I need that time to make proper animations.

However, I was thinking of starting my own little community which is basically a rip off of the Clock Crew. Like a young person animation community, with resources for 2D and 3D animation, character design, etc... It would be based around some sort of shared world like the Clock Crew, so people could come up with avatars, like Clocks.

I'd join it.

Why are you trying to shoehorn people into picking an avatar to represent themselves

It's not going to really help them learn to animate at all.

If you want to learn how to create a walk cycle or to express emotions with eyes then it's not going to help to draw the same wacky hair and limbs each time. If people want to gravitate towards a certain character they created they will do it naturally.

If you want to really help people learn and get exposure you will need good tutorials, people willing to teach noobs the same shit over and over, and a way for people to get their movies out there in an incredibly over-saturated web.

Most if that post is you whining about the CC. Everything you said you would change in the SinisterSquad were things that occurred during the CC's active period.

It's basically a CC ripoff group.
