All I remember about Bit was how awesome living at clocktopia was, and how after bit announced he was pulling the plug the first response in the thread was Golden saying "does this mean we don't have to listen to the shitty music you produce anymore?"

VCRClock

<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

I actually remember getting along with Bit okay up to the part where he made that super angsty frontpage when he closed us down. That was right when I joined though, so I may have just been trying to not piss off the administration.

i tend to see bit-clock, as the clockcrew's wade fulp, who, after his rule with a fair hand, one day, he got personally attacked by a million phone calls to his irl phone, and that annoyed his family, and him.(or, in wade's case either a movie about his family, or got trolled for his wife's weight)

then, after the bajillion phonecalls calling him and his kids gay, bit-clok snapped. and he became the raging tourettes ballistic man who would destroy the clock crew, once and for all.
and in a wade-manner, he banned everyone. because everyone had to pay for this.

god, what a jerk.

still, what music did he listened to? was his music taste good, guys?
also, tell me more about how he became mad

k -i raise dragons. here we go -click HERE- i mean click the eggs -and the dragons, until they become  adults.

he was kind of totalitarian before he ever got the harrassing phone calls
that's why he got the harrassing phone calls

he was heavy-handed with permabans people didn't really agree with and had some controversial, misguided ideas about the clock crew (like trying to monetize the clock crew, or the idea that someone might actually sue us over something like ipod/blackmagic fucking around on skype or having a 10-year-old or two on the forum)

he was also a bit full of himself. he probably played electronic dance music or safe '80s hits or something, but he was always the centerpiece of his own broadcasts. you'd hear a lot of his voice if you were listening to him on clock crew radio.

it didn't really help that he was quick to anger and easily trolled

I was not around for Bit Clock's reign, but the one time I was doing CC radio with Vanilla Pepsi and he managed to bring on Bit as a guest. We talked for about four hours and he was a pleasant fellow.

That was well over 4 years ago

Rereading my post, it comes off harsher than I really meant it. I didn't mean to make him sound like a completely awful guy. I think he was definitely a bad choice of authority figure for the Clock Crew, but had he not been an administrator, he wouldn't even have been in the running for meanest or most aggravating person in the Clock Crew.

By "full of himself" I mostly mean he seemed to like the sound of his own voice. I don't really remember if that carried over to forum behavior in a non-administrative capacity.

Mad with powah? Yep. Quick to anger and overreaction? Yes. Easily trolled? Also yes. But not the worst guy ever to come through here.

I was around for a lot of his time as an authority figure, and really he strike me as an "evil" version of TriClam, tbh. Like Tri is the good side, and bit the evil, yeah, you get it. But much like now, I was watch more speak less mentality, a lurker by nature and it has served me well in understanding our community.

All in all, I think you weren't being harsh. It was very true; in the end he was quite... unbearable.

Slurpee

bit was never funny or cool so when he was a dick about stuff it was a lot harder to forgive
but I think I'm basically done being butthurt about it.
bit was ultimately small potatoes.

like, in the history books there's a giant chapter on 2005-2008: The LeekClock Era! The reunification of ClockCrew.cc, the populist takeover of Clock Day, the move to Tom Fulp's servers, F-Day, the rip-off group explosion, Duck Day, and Wade the Cow!
then on page 96 there's a little footnote: "also there was a mediocre buttsound DJ named Bit who pulled our hosting whenever he was on his period. he wed Chewbacca and was never heard from again"

our captain ginyu saga at best

patriotclock

I remember listening to bits radio show and him spanking his wife or something like that.

Also in regards to clock crew eras PatriotClock era 2012-forever cuz it ain't ending folks get used to it

You do remember it was triangle, not bit, who came up with the idea to delete the entire forum as part of that stupid Oblivion thing back in september '05 right? That was pretty much the beginning of the end for Bit's popularity.
