I've been hanging on the Cracked forum tryin to win some money since that article we were in. I've had like 10 or so of my submissions in their articles now but still prizes. Meh.

So today I got a random PM from some guy.

QuoteHi, The recent Photoplasty contest made me wonder. Will my google searches appear on other peoples browser when they are searching? Are the autocomplete results the same for every computer? How accurate is it? I've already made some research on the topic but I just want to be sure and I'm looking for a more simplified explanation about Google's autocomplete feature. Thanks and I hope that you can answer my questions.

Weird, right? But I was nice and replied about how Google's engines worked and all that. He (she?) replies:

QuoteOk, thanks for the reply. It's just that I'm a little bit worried that some of those stupid searches I made might appear on some people's computer should they decide to google their names. Thanks again , man.

No idea wtf they're talkin about... but the missed opportunity to fuck this person's brain up is really depressing.

Also, I had a dream that McFarlane made a Prince Purple Rain action figure with motorcycle. I am very upset this isn't a real thing.

I'm reading The Catcher in the Rye for the first time right now, and I totally read this part of your post in his voice. Everything is depressing to old Holden Caulfield.

I love that you've developed a voice in your head for a character you've never heard.

ok, 1st:

GOOD JOB on making great articles/photoplasty on the cracked.com website! i hope that you will win some awards (and money!) as well.

2nd:
haha, this seems funny. but dont mess with this guys/girls head, he/she might be crazy, and its sad to see them go loopy.

also, i think he asks if his public google searches are PUBLIC to others.
because he/she is obviously searching either odd kinky stuff in google, or he/she does a complete background search on people he/she knows.

not that i know anything about it, ofc.

(tho, i do search on google for big boobs, and stuff.)

Quote from: pop-tart;1970255Also, I had a dream that McFarlane made a Prince Purple Rain action figure with motorcycle. I am very upset this isn't a real thing.

cool! can you draw me that action figure? im serious.
also: fun fact: when i was 12, i saw in my dream that my crush in school invented the my little pony action figures, and she got rich, and we got married and stuff, and that i was living the dream thanks to my gf and my little pony.

....
i was 12.

I think what he was asking was, if he types "Tom Fulp hermaphrodite" will Tom Fulp find out via auto-complete if he ever Googles his own name.

Which actually if you did enough... and had other people do it... you could probably convince Google bots it was a thing.

Let's all Google patriotclock hepatitis b.

I don't know the relevance of that yet. He just mentioned his name for the first time a few pages ago.
