    I've honestly never learned how text wrapping works even when I "learned" html on neopets/geocities because it's not something I ever needed to do, but I'm sure at some point in the past I wanted to do it for one reason or another and wasn't able to because vbulletin didn't care to provide the ability to.

    I mean I probably "knew" how in the sense that it's easy enough to feel your way around it and if it doesn't look right just change stuff until it does but I never committed it to memory.

    Now I have this ability thanks to the infinite power of Simple

Machines Forums and I can finally make my posts look like uh I guess a magazine or newpaper article is that main place where you would see something like this? it's cool I guess. looks very professional in that "I learned how to do this because I'm Annie Edison" kind of way

the safest most trustworthy perfect way to handle any formatting need in html

Slurpee

me: yeah I know c++. it's what I was taught in all through college, I'm basically fluent :cool:

also me: template<typename T, typename U>
auto myFunc(T&& t, U&& u)
    -> decltype(forward<T>(t) + forward<U>(u))
{return forward<T>(t) + forward<U>(u);}

what the hell

is that like
chinese or something

great! thanks for taking initiative and learning all of smf's rich formatting features.

we'll be transitioning this thread to a vintage SomethingAwful style portal frontpage with "feature articles." these will drive SEO and generate hits on forthcoming advertisements for Javanese gas station boner pills.
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

RobClock

Why does the DualShock 5 suck balls so badly? It's PlayStations first controller that actually has decent hand feel and yet it won't hold a fucking charge and now half my buttons don't work for some reason

VCRClock

how much for just one shock?

damn, I was kinda happy that I'd heard this was the best playstation controller yet, since it's basically the only option for people who want the sticks both on the bottom (I guess the new Steam controller but that isn't quite as feature-packed)

speaking of controllers, I was all excited that two Switch games I want to play are launching IN A WEEK AND A HALF WOOOO BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER and then I remembered october exists and, for one second and the only time in my life, i was disappointed October was almost here

I feel like playstation and xbox have spent this entire console generation trading off one bizarre, catastrophic decision after another. just every few months the gamers are in a tizzy because one company or the other goofed it up again. now xbox arcade is a million dollars and the games suck or something, now xbox games can be played on the playstation, now microsoft has fired everybody, now playstation has cancelled everything to launch 5 new live service games, now one of them is cancelled after two weeks, now microsoft has fired everybody again, now sony has killed the new kojima game and he's gone to xbox

I never bought either console because xbox's launch was like "instead of owning it, you can rent it, and we'll give you a subscription to its games getting service for free with the rental!"
and I was like "I don't want to keep paying you forever for something that's in my house though. in fact it's only going to deprecate in value over the course of me owning it so it feels like your only incentive for doing this is to screw me over later. I think I'd rather just own it"
and they were like "okay, but then you have to pay for the service and it's like a lot of top of already buying it"
and I was like "??? okay, fuck it then." ????? like what? what are you talking about? you can't coerce me into taking the obvious scummy corporate dependency deal by making the ownership deal materially undesirable, I just don't want either option now

on the playstation side I just never really wanted astrobot or god of war ragnorok or the last of us remastered again again 2: remastered again bad enough I guess
I feel like we should still be on playstation 4 and around now the technology is getting to the point where a 5 might be justified (if a.i. companies weren't eating all the graphics cards and turning them into global warming and anime tits or so goes my understanding)

PhantomCatClock

playstation 5 is for playing blurays and xbox is for playing youtube

a serious contender for the last podcast i actually listen to has started uploading videos of some bits and apparently my favorite genre is 'oldest brother in duress'

which reminded me of, a few years ago,

that is all

actually while i'm alienating ccbt posters from this page, lrr friday nights season 9 has been good. this might be the only episode that doesn't expect you to actually play mtg

a moth tried to fly into my ear and I automatically slapped myself in the ear multiple times so hard that my earbud foew off and I couldn't find it. I was so mad I wanted to kill all moths in the universe. then I remembered it's an ear bud and all I had to do was turn my other one off and play some music loudly and I'd be able to find it. it had somehow went behind me, behind the couch, and into the corner behind the lamp. if it had been a non-music producing object I would have lost it forever. fuck you, stupid moth. I hate you. sorry I slapped you to death though. r.i.p.

I've been following for almost two years now, I think I started in January. They joke about the TV show so much that I assumed it was like, some failure of theirs, because their jokes about it are so deprecating, but DAMN. Watched the first episode on Internet Archive and i'm glad you mentioned it in a positive light. Kinda perfect timing, too--first episode is SPOOKY
