Yeah.

QuoteWhat's more, I'll be able at last to do what I've always fantasized about doing: reviewing only the movies I want to review.

:(

And he ended that blog with:

QuoteSo on this day of reflection I say again, thank you for going on this journey with me. I'll see you at the movies.

Claimed Video Games were not a legitimate art form.

Good movie reviews though.

That's actually what resulted in me liking him. When he first said that, my love for video games made me go "Asdfhgah what an idiot, he doesn't know what he's talking about!" So I went to his site to dig through reviews for evidence of how much of a dumbass he was. I found someone who was far from a dumbass and was entitled to his own (well written) opinion. I still disagreed with him, but I became a fan at that point nonetheless.

Edit: Also, I always appreciated that he never shrugged that debate off as meaningless. In fact, he encouraged it and wrote a few addendum to his stance over the years. In that (final) blog that I mentioned above, he even said:

QuoteAnd gamers beware, I am even thinking about a movie version of a video game or mobile app. Once completed, you can engage me in debate on whether you think it is art.
