Do you feel listening to music while drawing is helpful or distracting?

i draw poorly so i dont draw, but i listen to music at work and its helpful if that counts for anything.

Unlike most things; drawing is one of the few things I can be 100% concentrated on so music is just a distraction. Anything else and it wouldn't be though.

Depends on what I'm drawing or doing. I find when I'm working on stuff with sound, then songs with lyrics are distracting. Instrumental music is best for creation in general. Sometimes I'll listen to audio books while sketching, and won't remember anything that was said.

When I'm just kind of fucking around or doodling, i enjoy listening to music, but when I'm really putting effort in i usually pause what I have playing because I can't focus 100%.

i dont draw well, but when i draw/animate in general, i dont listen to music because its distracting me from making stuff.
in any other occasion tho, i love listening to music.

When I'm drawing it can be helpful. I like to play music out of a little iPod boombox that's separate from my computer sound system, so if I need to work with an animation or video it doesn't distract me. Like Absinthe said, lyrics can be distracting, especially if I'm trying to write code or text; so I tend to put on classical or ambient music when I'm working.

This. Instrumental music is less distracting than vocal music but silence is ultimately best. Still, it's nice so I do it anyways for a good chunk of the time I draw.

Helpful, especially with lyrics. I like catching little bits of lyric here and there as I draw. If it's too ambient/quiet and is just an instrumental I usually just forget it's playing though.

I actually find instead of music, the soft sound of a fan going helps spark creativity and ideas, aswell as helps with concentration too.
