My pathetic ass is gonna try and beat him to it.

VCRClock

hey everyone

remember that time we had a new and clueless member called dolphinclock, and just to fuck with him we made him administrator and acted like we wanted him to be administrator until it stopped being funny and then we banned him or something

today's clockcrew.net is a much smaller place so let me spare you the trouble, waffleclock, and tell you it's not happening

it's ok though, being an administrator is mostly about banning people by popular demand, making sure the site doesn't break, figuring out how to stop spambots from registering, not giving a shit unless I have to and fielding members' "oh, no reason" requests to be appointed to positions of power

I don't dislike wavy gravy or think that he was a bad part of the moderation team when he was doing that
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

Oh yeah... how did that Dolphin Clock thing end?  I don't remember exactly, did he start banning people for no reason? I feel like he outright deleted a member or two instead of just banning them and it fucked things up real bad, or I might be thinking of something else.

Slurpee

was he even actually given any powers?

my memory is him posting messages explaining to people that they had just been banned, even though actually nothing happened

Redbook Clock

PhantomCatClock

did you just say the n-word

breaking news: did potential admin candidate wavy gravy just say the n-word and if so how will this affect his ascension chances

I did more for the clock crew than you will ever know. A mountain of effort I bled from my veins in my endeavors as admin!

WHAT THE FUCK
I was talking about dolphin

PhantomCatClock

update: wanted criminal wavy gravy exonerated; did dolphinclock just say the n-word instead

Honestly, this was just a joke thread that was not made to offend wavy gravy despite my cocky ass attitude. I'm quite surprised people like miracle fruit and Jamba actually pitched in with their "support". I'm fine with not being a mod btw.

Kudos.

Hold on, ADMIN?!?!?!?

I was referring to being Mod. I can't handle admin. But I can handle mod.

you only THINK you can handle mod
but watch out, the 5 of us can get pretty rowdy sometimes

In order to become a mod, you need a character reference from every existing mod. This is an issue because a lot of them are missing. We also can't change that rule with a 100% 'yes' vote from the other mods, further complicating things. Sometimes they ignore Slurpee's vote and just assume he said no, which makes things even harder. Best of luck.

that's a pretty way of saying the council refuses to honor the terms of my assent

I merely request to bequeath my vote in person, after I and one or more other former or current mods wander hither and yon across a mountainside in mutual silence for a couple of days while contemplating sankhara-dukkha. I don't even demand a particular mountain anymore like I did for Pop-tart

Topcatyo

ugh i remember those mountains. i swear i got stuck with the worst one.  did your mountain have cougars? mine had cougars
