Why Buses Need to have an 8 foot tall roof

Today getting off the bus I stood up and began to walk down the aisle when the damn driver tapped the gas and I was thrown upward. Now usually I would have caught a nice faceful of metal and gone to the hospital but no being 6 foot 6 and standing under the roof fire escape made this very interesting. As I ascended I knocked the hatch loose with my skull and my foot got caught under a seat and brought me down faster that i though possible. As I lay there bleeding from both nostrils I thought "Hmm, This is probably why they refuse to clean the floors", cause when I hit that sticky slime covered P.O.S. bus floor instead of sliding naturally I stopped and got my awesome blue shirt ruined.
