Lost Windows XP CD

Okay, so recently I got a new computer (iMac 24 inch :]) and I need to install the copy of Windows XP Pro SP2 that I bought like a year ago.

I have the key and everything, the only trouble is that I can't find the goddamned CD for the install. I need to install Windows through Boot Camp, so I don't know if a burned CD would work, I don't know which copy to download, and I don't want to have to use cracks because I have a legit serial number.

If anyone could help me out with this then it would be appreciated.

A burned copy of Windows XP will install through BootCamp, and since you own a legal serial, I believe that getting a copy is technically legal, as a copy of XP without a legit serial expires in 30 days (unless you have a crack). Though I could be wrong, just look around a bit more.

Its still illegal due too when you buy a CD or DVD you buy a copy of the information on that disc not the information on it so making copys of that information is illegal.

Well I live in Canada and nobody gives a shit up here. Could someone give me some info about which copy I should get?

just a heads up, you have to get the same version that your serial was issued for otherwise it wont work. of course if your going to crack it...well frankly im going to delete this thread.

No I have a serial for XP Pro. Are there different versions of it or something or should my key pretty much work?

there have been service packs released..i dont kow if your key would work if you originally had a disk with sp1 and your new one has sp2 or something...good luck tho.

If you have a legal CD key, you will be fine installing from any XP Disc.
To be on the safe side I'd get a SP1 disc, incase the serial method changed.
It'll update itself anyway.

I have an SP2 serial key. And I just downloaded a torrent and its not burning asdjfajsdlkj
