Got my driver's license.  Going to get the permanent one on Friday.

FUCK

That's the only law in america superior to ours, I wish I could drive FJHGFHGJFG if I were american I would've had my license already. I have to wait for at least 1½ years before I can rightfully claim mine.

gratz.

I failed the test to get your permit twice, but next week I am going to the DMV to take it a third time. If I fail again (which I won't) I am not going to drive. Not because the state wouldn't let me, but just because I wouldn't want to. If I fail 3 times clearly something is wrong with me and I can't drive.

Either that or I could wait till I'm 18 and just get the full license, skipping the permit.

They'll probably increase the driving age to 18 when gas gets ridiculously expensive or something.
But for now, haha :D

I'll assume that's something along the lines of "congratulations" and say Thanks :)

I failed my permit test twice too.
Of course, I didn't study the first two times, and for some reason the second test had 4 more questions than it should have, otherwise I would have passed.
The third time I actually studied and got only one wrong (a question that wasn't covered in the book).
I'd say keep at it, I imagine eventually I'll get pretty dependent on my ability to drive myself places, and you probably will eventually too.
By the way, driving isn't fun.

I always assumed you where like 17. I turn 16 this April, I hope to get my license then obviously.

Don't see why, as long as you or your parents can afford it.

It's not like there's going to be any fuel left to drive on in 5 years so a driver's license is wasted money anyhow HA

Some people assumed I was about 16 when I first joined the Clockcrew (I was 12).  Maybe a slightly I'm a edgy teen 16 year old, but still.
I turn 17 in June.

Yeah, true.  I'm hoping those hydrogen cars catch on.

UnrealClock

So you've just been too lazy to take the test, and you pretty much are 17.

Nah, we couldn't get it scheduled in January when it should have been, so we had to wait three months, and I'm seventeen in 3 months, which around 1/4th of a year.

UnrealClock

So you live in a fairly populated place, my Drivers Education building is at most filled with 10 people at a time. Silly Arkansas.

That's not quite the same scenario for me, though.

I turned 16 December 1st, at which point I had already taken Drivers Ed. and failed the test they give you in school (they give you one in school on paper as oppose to on computer; If you pass you get a little blue card that you give to the DMV people that basically says that you don't need to take the test, you're just at the DMV to get your permit). So I failed that and wasn't too pissed, then I went to the DMV December 4th and failed the test. That sucked. I didn't really study anywhere near as much as I knew I should have, which probably was the problem. So it's been 3 months of not studying and about 2 weeks ago I got the DMV manual thing and have been studying for about half an hour to an hour a day every day since. I plan on taking the test next Thursday, though I will put it off another week if I don't feel I'm ready (shit costs 60 bucks just to take mang).

Thing is, I've driven before and it's all common knowledge. The drivers test is such bullshit. They ask so many questions that just come as common sense when you're driving. In the drivers manual they actually discuss scenarios in which a ice cream truck is stopped in a median or something like that and what you need to do in that situation. One of the options is "Pull over and get an ice cream". Are you fucking kidding me? Do you really need to think about some shit like that?

It's just the hard questions that get me, the ones where the phrasing is weird or like, "How many feet do you need to stop behind a school bus?" The proper answer would be "I don't fucking know, I can't tell exactly how many fucking feet there are on the street just from looking at it". The correct answer is 25 feet (at least in New Jewsey).

If two trains leave a station on the same track. An observer missed both these trains and is standing close to the track sees the westbound train recede at 0.6c and sees the eastbound train recede at 0.8c. There is a ticket collector on the westbound train going from the back of the train to the front at 0.4c, with respect to a passenger on the westbound train.
What would the speed of the eastbound train with respect to the westbound train?

If it weren't midnight, I'd make an animation of you and Keanu Reeves plowing through innocent civilians in an out of control bus to some catchy Soviet tune.

I just feel like it.

If the feeling still remains tomorrow I'll do it.
Speaking of which, maybe I should get to bed sometime soon before it becomes tomorrow. My eye lids have gotten off sync with their blinking. There's a two second delay after the right one before the left one follows suit.

ArcticSwirlClock

I'm taking drivers ed right now, hopefully by next school year I'll be able to terrorize the streets in a ford ranger with a vanity plate claiming the phrase "GTFONUB"
