I need links to old versions of Flash.

[Blue]

I've always wanted to get a hold of a copy of Flash 1 just to see what it's like...

Flash as you know it didn't really start till version 3... Before that it was mostly unknown, and the AS was too simple to accomplish any major interactivity. It was not on most computers before the IE 4 integration, so at the time web developers only used it for advertising and nothing crucial.

cs3= fail.  flash 8 is what I use and not a problem yet.

how is CS3 fail? Saying that you haven't had a problem with 8 doesn't prove that CS3 is bad. I have CS3 and it's great.  Loads of new features.

I fail to see the sincerity in that.

Portable flash 8 costs money or I'd get it.

I feel need to tell you that, no, I have not slit my wrists to death. Or anything emo-ish you people expect me to be.
