Just talk about where around you live, what you love about it and what you hate about it.

Jersey

I live in an island called Jersey, in the channel islands. Its a kind of small little island, quite a lot to do for its size. Cinemas, a big town, cool stuff like that. The best part of jersey is the beaches, it has alright surf http://212.9.30.37:8080/CgiStart?page=Single&Language=0 this is the beach i surf at, surfs pretty crap today but tomorrow it looks good. I love the music scene over here, especially in the summer loads of gigs to play at. The things i don't like is because its small compared to places like england you do feel a bit restricted sometimes. It has a lot of chavs and everying is kind of split, you are sort of in a group.

Edit: Oh yea we have jersey live as well, http://www.jerseylive.org.uk/

I live in the city of enschede, but im moving out this saturday. Still i had a lot of fun here in the last four years, even though students and local people live totally seperate lives.
There a lot to do here, with much festivals being organised and always an excuse for a beer at one of the bars, also there's a lot of student associations and fraternitys. The city centre is also kinda nice.

The region surrounding enschede is all farms and poor people villages so ive never been anywhere other than in enschede itself.
O yeah, people also get shot here and firework factorys blow up all the time.

here's of map of the netherlands where you can see enschede.

Heerlen is okay I guess. It's pretty boring but the town is sort of improving on that part. There are a lot of drug tourists. Overall I'm really glad I'm getting the hell out of here next year.

The Pancratius church in the town's centre, it's oooold

I currently live in the city of Tallahassee, in the state of Florida in the southeastern US.

I just moved here and really hate it. Although it's the state's capitol, it's full of rednecks and people that drive around 10 miles under the speed limit. It's a college town (has like 6 colleges or something) and all the students are dumb; although that's not much of a surprise since all of Florida's schools are considered 'party schools'. The average income is rather low, but on the upside when driving my Lexus I'm usually driving the nicest car around. All in all it's a suck fest and I miss central Florida (I was living in Clearwater - the Scientology mecca).

The city of Red Square and st. Basil's Cathedral.
Nothing unusual.

Geneva, Switzerland.

Quite awful for a kid to grow up here and I don't even live in Geneva. I live 20 minutes outside of it in the middle of nowhere. I hate Geneva and where I live. It's boring, not much happens, needs more spice, more concerts, events, better weather, more of a music/art culture.

Get me out of here :c
hej.

Quote from: FloppyDiskClock;1345098I am liking the line-up, do the tickets sell out fast? I wanna find out if any of my mates feel like getting a train to the boat port, then getting the boat to jersey, then getting travel to an accommodation.

Also that scout thing they had going on 2 years better not be going on, that spoiled a large bit of my last time visiting Jersey as I was ambushed by fucking scout honored 12 year olds.

scouting is cool

Since I don't live there anymore, I can safely talk about Erie, PA.

I used to think it was a shitty town, but now that I've lived in shittier Louisiana for a year, I think Erie's fantastic.

Unlike other rust belt cities, Erie actually has the lake and a unique peninsula going for it.

The winters there suck balls, though.  Horrible lake effect snows every winter guaranteed.

I don't miss this shit.

The suburban mall where everyone shops looks exactly like a gun.

Rumor has it that the mob built it, but probably not.  Yet you still can't say it doesn't look uncannily like a gun.
