I always liked that bit because that was David's Doctor. Puts a smile on my face when I hear him say that.

And totally unrelated, but 1. I never realized there was a Law & Order UK and 2. Martha Jones and the 5th Doctor are both on it. WHAT?

that's because it isn't originally in there, they just put it in there because the tardis's shields were down and it would allow something to crash into it. also it confuses me a bit because the doctor basically tells himself that he has a run-in with the master which (assuming the special was canon) would defeat the purpose of the bad wolf keeping cpt. jack alive long enough to be come the face of boe and tell the doctor he isn't the only timelord left. also tennant has been watching dw since he was like 3, if any doctor has the right to break the 4th wall in a situation like that, it's him.

Every guy wants to be his  friend and every girl wants to date him. Understandably Slurpee is not a  very happy person.

anyone watch "Closing Time"? i think it exceeded my expectations. although i was a little disappointed that the cybermen ship was abandoned and wasn't the very beginning of a full scale attack on earth. it seems as if lately the doctor's only been tying up loose ends, there hasn't really been an active threat against the doctor basically since "Let's Kill Hitler". everything lately boils down to an accident or a misunderstanding. in "Night Terrors" the parents didn't know about george's powers, in "The Girl Who Waited" they got stuck in a medical facility with robots who weren't equipped to deal with humans, in "The God Complex" they got pulled into a malfunctioning prison/maze, etc.

the episode sets us up nicely for the finale though when they show river after becoming a doctor, where she is ordered to kill the doctor in the astronaut suit by the silence and madame kovarian. how do you guys think the doctor will escape his death? i'm thinking that river will change the timeline by stopping herself from killing the doctor (like how young amy convinced old amy to help and changed the timeline in "The Girl Who Waited"). there's definitely going to be some previously unknown factor revealed that will change everything. i'm willing to bet that the doctor is going to be upset that he can't end it after he's convinced himself that he wants to, series 7 will probably start out with him being angry and going and having fun like 10 did before "The End of Time"

i don't know if moffat would try that, he seems to be getting away from RTD era who. i'm thinking that something that happened during the series is going to be utilized, that's usually what ends up happening. series 1 was the bad wolf, series 2 had the cybermen, series 3 was the fob watch, series 4 had bees disappearing, the specials had the 4 knocks, and series 5 had the cracks on the walls. i'm thinking this is going to be something like series 3 where a major part of what happens is explained in a previous episode and we see it again in the finale. i've read into this a lot which is unusual for me since i like to sit back and watch what happens, but i want to know pretty badly. i know moffat won't just end the show, especially since details of the christmas special have already come out and matt smith is signed on for series 7.

"he likes "Alfie" but he prefers "Stormageddon, Dark lord of All"

what?

that's what he calls himself"

"he's your dad you can't just call him "not mum"

that's also his name for me.

everyone else is "Peasants"

that's unpleasant"
