Think I'm going to buy both.

And this last episode was p creepy. Reminded me of The Empty Child episode. Little children voices scare me a bit, not going to lie.

EDIT: Yeah I just paid $42.17 for Doctor Who posters. Does it look like I give a fuck?

Bless you, sir. :salute:

I've set an hour aside for tonight to watch the new episode, I'll comment on it then.

edit: right, I've seen it now. Good show. Fairly creepy, plus the ending was foreboding and awesome. Only thing I can say about it is that the CG used to have buddy quicksand into his carpet was a bit dodgy.

Yeah I was a bit turned off by it but eh, whatever. It's Doctor Who. I started off seeing that kind of stuff in the first season and it didn't bother me. I'm liking how these episodes seem to be getting creepier (in regards to the preview of next weeks).

I'd like to recommend this site to you guys as well. I just recently bought this shirt for a lady friend of mine. The manufacturing took forever, BUT the print is pretty great quality.

Some of the designs are fantastic while others suck. Just thought some of y'all may be interested.

EDIT: and when I bought that shirt some of the funds went directly to the artist to help pay for his sick daughter's medical bills so I feel like a nice guy.

that's only like 1/2 true. in the uk kids and adults watch doctor who, if you wanted a dw canon show that was just for kids you'd have watched sarah jane adventures. also since dw isn't a giant cultural thing in the us, the show doesn't have as wide of a range in the audience. most people who watch it here are teenage nerds, once these nerds grow up and start having kids i'm sure there's going to be more dw fans roaming around who've watched since they were little.

Where'd you get it from? Because right now ThinkGeek should still have them on sale.

BUT I AM JELLY. If I could ever dress up as the Doctor I would in a heartbeat. I'm stuck with only being to dress up as Mickey or Martha. fuck.

Quote from: RibsClock;1851279It's too bad Cleveland Little is dead, they could have cast him as Matt Smith's replacement and have everyone go "A BLACK DOCTOR??"

I'm an idiot and don't know who that is. But I would seriously love to see a black doctor.

I kept reading this over thinking I missed something. I eventually settled for, "it's probably well known that zmc has a lot of leather jackets I guess."

Hahaha. OH YOU GUYS.

I think if anything though, I'll be a Dalek just because they're my favorite. Although that would cost a lot to make.

Seeing this all over today on tumblr so I have to post it here.

TODAY IS DOCTOR DAY (9-10-11)

RobClock

Just finished watching 'The Girl Who Waited', and I'm not quite sure what I thought of this one...

I'm just going to spoiler tag everything because I don't know what's acceptable to be out-right about.
I missed about the first 5 minutes, but what I got was that the trio landed in this place which is supposed to be some sort of holiday local, but is rampant with a disease which will kill the Doctor (that is to say, no regeneration), so he's got to stay in the TARDIS. The place is filled with robots attempting to administer antibiotics which would be deadly to Amy and Rory. Some time-stream mess up happens, and Amy gets stuck in a separate time stream(?) than Rory and The Doctor. They fly the TARDIS over to Amy's time stream only to find there was a bit of a miscalculation and they showed up about 36 years late. Amy is something of a bitter old cunt, and the dilemma is posed that they must either save old Amy or go back and save younger Amy, effectively killing older Amy by erasing her from time and space.

There was a nice little reference to a certain famous line, which was cool, but what really bothered me was older Amy was being an absolute asshole about having to wait 36 years when Rory had previously waited around for approximately 2000 years protecting the Pandorica last season. Or maybe not? I'm not sure, that whole bit about the universe ending and restarting really confused me as to what did or did not happen.

either way, it all culminates in a pretty nice ending. The effects for this episode were rather nice, aswell.

TL;DR It didn't really having anything wrong with it, but In the long run I don't think I see it being very memorable.

PowerGloveClock

wibbly wobbly timey wimey has been around for a long time before tennant ever donned his pin-striped suit and hopped in the tardis. i'm fairly certain i've heard matt smith say it on several different occasions

I liked the episode for all of the Amy Rory moments. I felt like a girl but, damn, I can't count how many times I said "awww Rory" tonight. Also, this was the first time I was actually able to watch Doctor Who on tv!

And next week's episode looks fantastic.

I really liked this episode.

The only problem I had with it was old Amy fighting the antibiotibots at the end. There wasn't anything wrong with it in particular. I sometimes have trouble suspending my disbelief, causing me to wonder how awkward it must have been to watch a girl dressed as an older woman in make-shift armour kick around tactlessly at other humans dressed in iPod suits. That's my own fault, I guess.

There was a good amount of everything without, again, using flashing red arrows to point at the season's obvious end.
