On a larger scale this has something to do with the passage of time I think, but specifically, do you ever find it strange, this physical space you occupy? I walked into a (not my) bathroom to piss just now and it struck me as odd somehow. Growing up, you couldn't have possibly imagined this was the place you'd end up. I've been living here for three years now, in some weird apartment. Nothing more than a glorified room, conveniently partioned off from the rest of a building that's over a century old, surrounded by people I don't know in a town I'd never been to. Taking shits... jacking off... peeing in sinks... breathing... existing... drinking beer. Hence the thought and post I guess. Merry Christmas!

I’ve really lost all sensation of being “home”, which is why I really doubled down on fixing the old house in the country. Even now, staying back in the house I grew up in, it feels foreign and uncomfortable. I can’t wait to have the house of my own, in the middle of nowhere, not having to think or worry about anyone else but whomsoever I may take in. It’s not coming soon enough
