That reminds me; they remastered "Hellraiser", a Motörhead song that Ozzy covered and in the remastered version it mixes both of their vocals and I fucking love it

badass

Slurpee

after some googling, Lemmy co-wrote it, so it's kind of a "cover" in the same sense that Bowie's version of All the Young Dudes is a cover

except ofc Ozzy is way more famous than *squinting at screen* Mott the Hoople?

Slurpee

in fact... Lemmy basically co-wrote all the good songs on No More Tears, huh

except for No More Tears

but if you know that album and think of the four best songs besides the title track
you're probably not thinking of Mr. Tinkertrain and Zombie Stomp
unless you're a dumb clown

you're thinking of, Mama I'm Coming Home, Desire, Hellraiser, and I Don't Want to Change the World

Slurpee

that was a good album

how did it come out in 1991 though, what?

that's like The Blueprint and Stillmatic coming out in 2001, it just seems way too late

like, 1991 in rock sounds like Losing My Religion and 2001 in rap sounds like... God, I don't know, Ride Wit Me?
how are those also the years of Hellraiser and Ether how does time work

Slurpee

2001 in rock sounds like Chop Suey and 1991 in rap sounds like Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch - Good Vibrations

PhantomCatClock

I think it's [move][/move] Mark and the Funky Bunch with the new forums

VCRClock

we don't talk about hip house
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

the spirit shows you another window, and when you look in it's yourself, surrounded by appalled looking and clearly uncomfortable coworkers. the you in the mirror laughs defensively and holds his hands out, palms up. "How is that racist?" the you on display asks.

OK so

the most recent episode of the simpsons had bill cipher make a cameo for a few seconds:

and now the gravity falls fans are gonna unconsciously persuade disney to renew the simps for more seasons

The Razors Edge also came out in 91 (not fact checking it was either that or their live album), the early 90s was kind of the last hurrah of the 70s rock legends still being good

I watched Gravity Falls for the first time this summer and I loved it! Mabel is the best. I won't hear any Mabel slander so don't even try it.

It's one of the few shows where the first season is episodic but it slowly becomes an overarching thing where I enjoy the entire show

JambaClock

it's definitely made a mark on tv animation, that's for sure

kinda wonder why several shows wound up failing at that episodic-to-serial thing anyway

PhantomCatClock

because they got their foot in the door with a cartoon then tried to show off with a story they couldn't tell on their other platforms. we, the fans, see why, but we are too polite to say they STINK

PhantomCatClock

i don't like your accusatory tone that change was done anonymously we'll never know who did it

Slurpee

I wonder if the title of Gravity Falls was a CocoRosie reference?

(0:28) "broken sundown, fatherless showdown / gun hip swollen lip bottle sip yeah I suck dick / loose grip on gravity falls / sky blinding crumbling walls"

I never quite got that lyric
I think you're supposed to parse loose grip on gravity as a noun phrase, but I don't understand how that "falls"
"fails", maybe. that's some cool imagery. a loose grip on gravity, like you're in danger of floating off into space, and the grip fails
but she very distinctly says falls so idk

she does play with grammar though. later she says "I has dreams that brings me sadness" like she's a lolcat

but basically half the lyrics in the song could be parsed more than one way, especially the first verse

Slurpee

Psychonauts 2 is really, really good
did I say that already?

it's so good

PhantomCatClock

that was a good video

i can't remember the last time I played Smash but i'm so excited to see twitter and probably the clock crew discord server when the announcement comes

it doesn't matter what's announced

nothing can live up to the hype. There will be bad takes to laugh at.
