obligatory reddit post where someone is asking how to do it appears to contain the IP address you need, but neocities should also have given you that somewhere

i whoised your domain and it looks like dynadot is your registrar? if so: login to dynadot...
- my domains > manage domains
- kaijuturtle.com
- first line in settings is DNS Settings
- select Dynadot DNS
- record type 'A', IP address or target host = Neocities' IP
- i guess also put in the other records from that reddit post if you wanna be thorough

The roof is leaking in my living room like two feet to the right of my television. I knew the roof needed to be redone, but I didn't pay off my previous loan until like three weeks ago so I couldn't afford to do it over the summer and rolled the dice waiting for spring. This turned out to be a mistake obviously.

Went and picked up a bucket of tar after work yesterday- but here's the thing. Tar needs to be applied between 0-35 degrees Celsius, and yesterday it was 1 degree, so the tar was fucking impossible to spread, and by the time I got home from the hardware store it was 5:30 aka pitch fucking black. BUT, the forecast tells me it will be -10 all weekend with snow, and then raining again Monday. So I'm on the roof freezing to death holding a flashlight in my mouth desperately searching for cracks in my baked shingles in a 12x12 section of roof and then fighting the bucket of tar to pull any amount out and then as I attempt to slather it, the shingles are cracking apart because they're all fucked.

throw a tarp over it! problem solved.

It's no longer hosted on tumblr, and I paid for the premium hosting on neocities so I could link my domain to it directly but I can't figure out how to do that. I also have to expand upon like 3 pages, I want to section the gallery between personal works and commissioned/professional works, and then on the about page put some shit about accolades and accomplishments I've accrued over the years. Anyways. Feedback appreciated.

idk what hirers look for in personal/portfolio sites but my gut is telling me the button to buy stickers is too big

but also the page would look pretty naked if it wasn't there, so if you go by my impression and shrink it or move it to a "shop" tap or whatever(which I donkt necessarily recommend because I don't know what I'm talking about), you might also consider a bespoke splash image to welcome visitors, a self-portrait or a cool landscape or w/e
 I happened to be looking at another artist's portfolio site recently, someone called Justin Leal, and he just opens right on his animations page with a demo reel at the top, and then every other page also has something right at the top of the content portion to kinda slap you in the face with his adorable cartoons. like his about page has a cartoon of him as a cartoon drawing cartoons and it's like well how could I not hire this guy? you've pretty much got that part licked as well, though, every page has a cool graphic other than the commissions page which does look kinda naked
you might also want to consider keeping a consistent header? the one you have on the main page (along with the navigation bar) is low-profile and friendly enough that if it was on every page it would just look like it belongs there, and that way people don't have to jump back to the homepage to navigate to another section

Can't throw a tarp on it on account of the leak being right down from the chimney. Woodstove chimneys get hot, would likely set the tarp on fire- not good.

The thing for the stickers is just an advert I stuck there, I previously had this preview image of some illustrations but I felt bad because I don't believe very many of the stickers have sold, they're only at that local bookstore and I hope I didn't unload some lemons on this local business owned by two lovely people I consider friends. I intend to swap it out for some other stuff when I have other stuff to put there.
It's a fair point about putting the nav bar on every page though, maybe with a reduced header?

I definitely need to update the commissions page to some extent, the issue being that I feel like a fraud charging people money because I don't consider myself very talented so I have a hard time coming up with something to put there. I'll figure it out.

I could probably put that back and put something about the stickers for sale in the little 'what's new' blog thingy


OH and I broke the fucking gallery by trying to insert more than the default six images into it, I don't imagine one of you talented coding types feels inclined to helping me in that regard?
