also I thought Ys was one of the games from this insane image about a hugely involved family of japanese fantasy games that I've never played. it's not, but it took me a long time to find this image so I'm posting it anyway

what was I upset about?

I came here to bitch about something

oh

World of Horror finally comes out of early access tomorrow, and also Boney Plays starts tomorrow, but I have a chemo infusion, so I'm probably gonna be sleeping most of the day, and then feeling like ass for 3-8 days after and not really up to enjoying things, if previous chemotherapy sessions have been any indication

I can't even really be mad though, releasing things on October 19th is really clever. because if you do the 13 days of Halloween, like the 12 days of Christmas, the 19th is the first day. and 13 is the spooky number, and Halloween is the spooky holiday. so it's a good pre-Halloween Halloween launch day. kind of. it's actually 13 days til Halloween right now, because of how days work. it's one day til the first day of Halloween, so, 13 days til the 13th day of halloween, which is Halloween, so, if you were counting down from 13, it'd be today. and the cleaning lady cleans up. dust. she dusts. and she has weekends off, so. monday.

I went to the monthly "artists gathering" held by the Cape Breton University's art director last night. I've been a few times before, it's a nice opportunity for networking and to see some cool original pieces. One guy was working on an acrylic portrait of Sinead O'Connor, a woman had a gorgeous painting of the Hardwood Hill cemetery at sunrise, and there was a driftwood sculpture of a seagull.

Anyways. I've never presented anything there myself, most of my work is digital so that makes it kind of hard to display to a group sitting around in an empty room- last night I decided I would. I read them my pitch for the animated short I am currently submitting for an art grant, with some character sketches for a visual accompaniment, hoping to get some feedback on the wording of the pitch since it was the first time I've ever done such a thing. The room was overwhelmingly receptive, just gushing with positivity in a way I have never experienced or was prepared for at all. So I guess I'm sending it off as is today lol

I also had the new caramel apple cider at Island folk beforehand to steady my raw nerves about presenting my work to a group of strangers. It was delicious!

for halloween this year i have replaced every occurrence of 'unread' with 'undead' in the forum software just a little something to stay festive and relevant you know

here I am under the delusion that I know every game the guy dropped into the dragon slayer franchise at random, and yet I've somehow never heard of lord monarch or drasle.

The only one i know of from that is Xanadu Next because it was a Nokia N-Gage game. I've been fascinated by that thing for years I ought to just by one haha

i wish i had something fun and interesting to share here but i don't

i got a new printer though

laser printers are expensive, but that don't matter to the thrift store. i got a 2016 model for 50% off $8. all i need is shifty ebay open-box toner, which cost about the same as my last trip to the copy shop, and i will never again have to deal with my inkjet cartridge drying out after i've only used it twice in a year
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

VCRClock

the printer even had paper in it haha awesome
