Kidney BeanClock

Many aspects of the Metal Gear Solid games were already intended to be humorous. Most of the jokes parodies make are "hawhawhaww the game developers intended for this to be serious but it's actually funny! I'm going to exaggerate it to point out the unintended humor!!!!" or "hahaha the colonel actually tells snake to press buttons to do things. This was obviously a mistake on the part of the developers!" What the fuck. The humor was intentional. Making fun of it isn't funny.

I'm sorry, but I needed to share this with somebody.

MGS4 was enough comic relief for the whole series. shit sucked.

TremcladClock

Comedy is funny and clever if it's funny and clever; the characters and setting are often inconsequential. If any number of people laugh at something, it has the potential to be funny.

tl;dr

If you make fun of something all ready funny, then you don't have any originality.

Now everybody wants this thick afro body but I blow dry that hair and never let it down.

Even Family Guy.

You and I don't find it funny, but that doesn't dismiss it as a valid form of entertainment for the mentally challenged.

I played a metal gear game once... all the way through, and I don't remember any of it... IT WAS THAT DAMN GOOD.

some of its quite annoyingly earnest and deserves light-hearted mockery though. all the nuclear war stuff and shit philosophy. it's post-modern humour IS very deliberate, though.
