So I don't know a lot about computers. but.
Windows is saying my little CPU is running at like 70-80% all the time now.
And it's loud. I can hear something going on in the tower, constantly.

Anyways, what the fuck is going on, this video card isn't even that much of an upgrade why is my computer doing this oh my god im so scared.
HELLO EVERYONE.

B(
guys this shit is loud

HELLO EVERYONE.

Slash

Find the program that causes it
get rid of it, I doubt it's going to be that easy though but you should atleast give some more information about the circumstances.

what else do you need to know?
my former graphics card was built into the motherboard an ati radeon hd3200.
this new is a hd4650.

Hit control alt delete and go to processes and see if there's something sucking up your CPU. If it looks like nothing is the culprit or it's just system idle process I don't know what to tell you bro.

hahaha NEVER change the voltage you dopey man. that's a regional setting so you kinda just overloaded your PSU and blew it up.

HELLO EVERYONE.

I meant was your power supply rated for what the card needs.

A new card may need more juice, i.e. a new card may need 350Watts or something, and you may need to swap out your power source for a more powerful one.

Read the card's system requirements.

HELLO EVERYONE.

Quote from: Joey;1596469new card needs 350w. my power supply is 400w.

350w was likely the bare minimum recommendation for running the card alone. with a quadcore as well i'd suggest 500w or more.

Lol, 530watt is probably not enough.
Gimme a list of your specs (links would be best):
CPU: dual, quad, GHz?
RAM: How much? How fast?
Card: Type? MB?
Number of fans and hard drives, any other peripherals or cards (sound card etc.)

At this moment, I would recommend 600 watts.

After studying the computer you linked to, I would definitely recommend at LEAST 600W for best performance.
The graphics card will take ~400W alone, and the processor will take ~100W. That's already 500W, and usage will probably increase under load (not counting RAM and hard drives, though they generally take only a few watts).
Of course, you can make your computer run on a 530W PSU but that doesn't mean it will run at its potential.
