Female singers are a mixed bag. For me, their voices are usually too pretty. Thus, I tend to like the more gruff, emotionally inclined voices, such as those of Liz Phair and Marcy Mays of Scrawl. I also like Joanna Newsom, when she's at her most absurd old lady/ little girl self.

What about yooou?

One of mine should be fairly obvious. I also like the ladies of Ladytron, Shirley Manson, Stella Soleil, Nina Gorden. I like Christina Aguilera's voice, but most of her songs are too overproduced and she overuses her range in them.
