Up must really suck.

Fortunately the thread still doesn't have a dark post, but now it just has a stupid one. :)

Quote from: Atrus;1603746...I'm not sure if that's kind of funny or really stupid and irreverent.

What, and add a sin to your tally right before you die? I'm pretty sure it counts as double if you know you're about to go.

I honestly couldn't say anything bad about this without feeling horrible on the inside and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't saddened by the article.

Well... there is the whole bit about the movie being symbolic of 'heaven' for the girl... But I'd rather not speak of if, you know, their oh so loving god was truly so loving and empathetic as they think, the girl wouldn't have died such an early, long and torturous death.

I'm just saying they're awfully devout for a family that's going through this scenario.

I'd prefer to think the latter.

"After losing his wife in old age, the now grumpy man deals with his loss by attaching thousands of balloons to his house, flying into the sky, and going on an adventure with a little boy."

That sounds asinine out of context.

It stinks that she couldn't actually see the film, the first part especially might have given her some closure on the stuff she missed by not reaching old age.

Thats the saddest fucking thing ever... Oh my.

QuoteAmong the Up memorabilia the employee gave Colby was an “adventure book” â€" a scrap book the main character’s wife used to chronicle her journeys.
“I’ll have to fill those adventures in for her,” Lisa Curtin said.

Thank you whoever posted this... for making me :(
