Shortstop seems OP right now; its like a long-range shot gun.

Sydney Sleeper is more like sniper bullets that explode on contact at full charge, allowing for multiple kills with one bullet.  

Black box is generally uninteresting, I was never really worried about health as a soldier in the first place.

Those are the only ones I have tried myself, but I have heard the Powerjack is WAAAYYY OP'ed.

Degreaser is the best Pyro weapon ever made and I hope they change nothing except if it involves making it better. It fits my playstyle of synergy-with-all-weapons so perfectly its like they know what actually can make a Pyro good.

Also I really want a The Attendent, if anyone has that....

I had gotten out of source games for a while just because I played them so much, but after a long break from them  I'm getting back into them.
I'll be playing TF2, CS:S, and DoD:S again, maybe some Left 4 Dead in there too. If anyone wants to play any of those, let me know!

I just got DOD:S and am having a blast. I'd play with you even though I'm a newb and keep getting killed by bullshit I never saw coming.

As you play you'll learn the maps and the general layout of the typical sniping/heavy mg spots. It becomes much easier to survive. But grenades have a wide blast radius in that game so keep an eye out for that.
EDIT: A quick tip, if your health is in the red type !medic in the chat and it will instantly heal you partially.

I'm mostly playing infantryman, he seems to be a good way to learn the maps/works with my playstyle. I've been lucky to find some good servers that aren't full of whiny kids or sperglords (some people I've talked to seem to think those are common in this game but I don't know) and has caps for some of the classes (or is that default?).

Woah seriously? Is that all servers? Because if so that's extremely useful to know.

I'm aiming to get it next time it's on sale. I'm not that interested in the game itself, but I'd like it for GMod/modding in general/griefing.
