As I'm sure most of you have seen, a film maker from Philly is doing a documentary all about Newgrounds from beginning until now. From what I've seen in the teaser, we're definitely going to be mentioned in there some where. Now the problem is that he of course needs some money to get this project off of the ground so he's started a Kickstarter page (with the teaser if you haven't seen it yet) here. I was wondering if you guys would want to help donate all under the Clock Crew's name (taking money from the prize fund we have and putting it forth to the movie). I emailed Nathan asking if we were to do this, how the prizes would be spread amongst all of us. Not long after I received an email back from him saying this:
QuoteHey man,
Lemme see. Well, I guess you have options. You could elect a point person to collect money, have them make the Kickstarter donation and then I can give you the option of divvying up the big prize as you see fit or sending me a list of the folks who could all get the smaller prize levels that they donated at? If the idea is to protect everyones anonymity then you wouldn't want to send me that list... or you could do it with your aliases on the list and I could send the point person all the prizes if you trust that person to distribute it fairly?
If this Kicksarter thing happens and I have all the swag made up I'll probably have a few extra of some things so if you go the divvying up the big prize route I could maybe even throw in some extra secret stuff for you. It would help to know how many people we're talking about here as well.
What do you think? And thanks so much for your support. :)

So would you guys be interested in this at all or no?

No dice.

I don't really have that much faith in his project to be honest.

screwdriver_clock

Well it seems to be officially backed and the work is done by NG staff so... i think it's solid. But yeah if I have a little extra money I might toss some in.

AC Slater

Keep in mind, none of you money will be taken if it doesn't get off the ground. Nothing gets taken away unless the goal is met.

I was thinking of donating $20 myself just because i want to see the film finished.

I'm torn. I could easily throw this dude $100... but if he makes the Crew a minor note and puts all his attention on those HappyHarry and Egoraptor type fucks... it'd be a waste.

TabascoClock

I actually really hope this gets finished, especially because of interviews with people such as Lloyd Kaufman and John K. I'm still not sure if I wanna donate though.

He's about as funny as finding a blister on your dick.

Swain owns Harry.

DWARFINATORclock

Seeing as he interviewed FLOPPYDISK of all members to represent the Clock Crew he is obviously a poor documentary maker and hasn't done proper research.

screwdriver_clock

They should interview me I know everything about the ClockCrew obviously I am the perfect member for the job.

Would anyone but Newgrounds users watch it? All I see happening here is a bunch of idiots learning the Clock Crew has it's own website and joining to call us fags.

Which, you know, isn't exactly a disaster but not really worth donating money for.

Quote from: Bitchfist;1764447While the second part is undoubtedly quite true, I don't know that I agree entirely with the first part. While I don't personally have any objections to this kind per-say, I do think that we can do ourselves a disservice seeking the wrong kind of attention, for instance the way 4chan users do.
