No I'm talking about any time. Watching shit films is great because it's a fun group experience, you have a nice time together laughing about how bad it is. You don't each individually point out obvious stuff in a way that implies no one else thought of it. That's just a way of patronising everyone else and trying to make yourself look smart. Definitely not the point.

How about guys who watch horror movies and say things like "Ugh, why is that girl running around screaming? If I were there, I would find a gun and then I would just shoot the monster." You know, the people who want to point out how they would do things so much better than the movie characters are doing them.

Having worked at a movie theater as a projectionist and therefore seen many free movies, I must say I enjoy watching movies from the projection booth greatly over watching them in the theater with people. I would sometimes pull up a chair and watch movies from a small window in the booth. I absolutely hate it when people talk during movies, regardless of what the movie is, be it awful or excellent. Talking just ruins the movie watching experience, even if said talker is being funny.

I'm the same way. It makes me feel like I'm being told what to think about the movie. But I also don't like watching movies by myself. So I guess I'm just no fun to watch movies with.
