To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

choppy grammar aside, this vid makes the most sense to me. The only thing wrong with it is that I'm pretty sure shepard is still on earth and not on the citadel.

that would actually make it a kinda good ending

NintendrCkolc

but the kid man, the kid. Why is the catalyst the kid? Whats with all those weird dreams about the kid? What was his purpose aside from a mediocre attempt at humanizing shepard? it's not explained.

also

How the hell does Anderson make it up their unharmed? How? I like how he explains everything you're about to see walking up to the panel on the citadel and then you see it furthering the idea of it being a dream/hallucination

So i'm replaying (this time imported my ALL RENEGADE, ALL THE TIME shepard) and apparently one of the major choices from ME1 didn't even fucking matter. Whether you kill the Rachni queen or not, they come back. The excuse being that "HURRR THE REAPERS MADE US SOMEHOW"

stupid.

Such a major choice and the only payoff is some crummy dialogue that lasts all of 5 minutes (if that)

MonsterMunch

I'm going to make my own ending.

With blackjack and hookers!

PirateClock

I picked the Synergy ending en it was pretty good imo. Next step in evolution baby!

Still haven't played the game due time and dlc restraints (not overly pumped due all this talk about the endings)

Read a good post on the subject, it's a very good read if you have time in regards to this whole "ending" affair:

http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/10084349/1
It contains just about a sum-up of everything that has happened and is happening thus far and sheds some light on the possibility of other endings. Alot of it is self-explanatory but it's done in a good fashion.

In my day you didn't have to pay extra for the end of your game.

This sort of thing is to be expected from Electronic Arts. They make Capcom look generous by comparison.

I get the feeling that EA will release an Alternate Ending pack for more than 800 BioWare points.

EXTENDED CUT IS OUT.

For those of you who played it (probably just me and clam) what did you guys think?

I liked it for the most part. The slideshow was kinda lame but at least it gave you an idea of what everyone was up to after everything had taken place. The added scenes with hacket, squademates being carried to safety, etc etc were pretty well done and tied up some plot holes.

Found it a bit odd that Harbinger just stares right at the Normandy and doesn't shoot it but whatever.

Overall I'm satisfied. It could have been better and its not how I wanted the series to end personally but at least it makes more sense. A few scenes struck some chords, I guess thats all I can really ask for. Might actually play through the series again now.

Kind of interesting how the cash shop for multiplayer is allowing them to release free content.

For better or worse i think this will become more prevalent in big-name console games soon.

Quote from: clammo;1910866i got an ending ive never seen before. i basically told the kid to fuck off and i reject all his solutions. then he turned into a reaper (harbinger?)  and say, okay well you're all dead.

then it cut to liara recording in a prothean beacon thing saying we lost but heres some info for the next cycle

rejection ending owns, you can also access it by shooting the starkid while on your way to the ABC ending (no cool dialogue though). a bit of a downer, yeah, but shepard's speech telling the starkid that free will and decision is what he fights for is definitely the way to go out on.

I just finished my second play-through of this game, this time with the extended cut (this is what I have been doing instead of finishing my RTF part, sorry!). The changes definitely improved the ending, but its still a pretty terrible way to end the series. I liked the bit at the end with the voice-over and slide-show because at least we get to see what will happen to the characters and the universe, but the Catalyst's motivation still makes no sense and the player's decisions in the game still don't have as much of an impact as they should have.
While it doesn't fix everything, I don't want to be too hard on the extended cut. The game just has too many problems for it to be made perfect with a DLC, and I appreciate that the chaps at Bioware were able to admit that they made mistakes and attempt to fix them. Even though the game has its problems, its still a very good game and I don't regret buying it. I'm definitely willing to buy more games that these people make in the future, as I'm sure that they will learn from their mistakes and give us something better next time. Especially now that they have shown that they actually care what fans think. Of course, if they continue using Origin then I might be more reluctant.
