Does anybody remember specifics about his evil reign?
I'm trying to recall his specific crimes, and perhaps the dates of memorable moments - especially the day he was banished

F U Clock

I always seem to miss these ClockCrew nemeses. Tree, Bit, Onion... I just hear shit talked about them after the fact. Didn't Battery do something to piss people off too?

Slash

We were all pretty cool with him and I believe he even paid for the site, then someone said something bad to him or something like that and then he flipped his shit and pulled the plug.
Later he'd have some self indulgent rant about it but no one cared.

AMPEEEM

just recently got him to block me through massive instant messaging nonsense to him.

What he did was was come in, act all cool, get clock of the month, I think because he began hosting the site, but it was funny because at the same time over at the good ol' glock group Vozz owned our site and started imposing harsh rules and banishment and over-all not getting it-ness, and that's basically what happened to bit. I wish I could be more specific, but people were using the hitler comparison a lot.

also battery was just a banned spammer, like the best of us, I think.

Also speaking of CC villians, PepsiClock told me in private and made me swear to never tell anyone that he hacked strawberry's account and gave it to joshb3dn, and told him not to tell anyone he did it

from the old clockopedia
QuoteHello,
We are the Clock Crew, a group devoted to making Flash cartoons with characters that have Clock faces on them. Alot of people don't like us, while alot of people do like us. We are either hated or loved by our common man. Here is a little bit about our history on the internet:
We are primarily a group that now consists of whiney pubescent teenagers and twelve year olds who think this is the next greatest thing to overrated emo bands. We think we are absolutely cutting edge and unique due to the new flash techniques we learn when others have surpassed us on the skill level.
We feel we are righteous and just, on making Newgrounds.com what it is  today. We feel that we have given birth to Lock Legion and other great talented artists. In reality, we rely on what is called a  BBS for posting topics that consist of child pornography, and other pointless words such as ââ,¬Å"fifenââ,¬Â, ââ,¬Å"zomgââ,¬Â, and ââ,¬Å"IR INTERWEB  DESCTUROR ZERO!!!!1111ââ,¬Â. Upon posting such words like that, my fellow clock finds it absolutely hilarious and encourages  to make a movie about.
The usual routine for a film will consist of 5-10 seconds of utterly  unfunny material. I then ask my fellow clock to mass ââ,¬Å"fifenââ,¬Â this horrible excuse for a film; cheating the very system that was  established by Newgrounds. In the end our audience leaves us reviews that are not kind hearted. We like to talk about the future of our  clique, where we will be in 10 years, what new members there will be, and what great accomplishments we will see. The truth is, we are a  broken record. We rely on a BBS for pointless spamming, once in awhile we might get off our lazy pompous asses and make a collaborative  effort that is worth an actual ââ,¬Å"5ââ,¬Â.
We rely on one individual to pay for all of us, this person is  responsible for shelling out monetary distributions to cover the cost of our online playground of pointlessness. Most individuals only pay for so  long and then our websites get shutdown. We go bonkers when our website is taken away from us, as we feel we cannot continue to make  quality crap for flash films. In essence, we just want our medium of pointless stupidity back.
We conveniently like to attack any one person who takes this away from  us, as we feel it is owed to us to have a place to spam and do nothing. We will even go as far as to invade the individuals personal  life, call their home and harrass their family members, and even find them on other locations of the internet just to harass them in  hopes it will get them to put our site back up. When the individual does pay, they treat them nice for a few days then it is back to the  same old shit.
When we harass someone who refuses to give in to us and they get mad  over our constant harassment, we like to make fun of them and tell them they take the interweb to seriously. It really is us who takes the  internet too seriously, due to the great lengths we will go to just to get our BBS back. We also are pipe dreamers. We feel that real  life and government do not exist on the internet. We feel we can harrass the very people who take our mediums away, and get away with  it. What we have yet to realize, this isn't the case as one day we will be brought down in entirety and wonder why it happened. We will  then run to our mommys and daddys for help over the trouble we just got into over something we thought was absolutely hilarious.
We have no respect for anyone who helps us. Lock Legion our foe always  gives us a place to goto as a backup in the event something happens to our precious BBS. We like to be nice to the Lock Legion  during this, but when our site eventually does come back, we will shit talk about them until the ends of the Earth. We make funny of  people and say they have no lives and are losers, but yet we swarm like flies around our BBS clickign refresh to see what new topic has  been posted.
Hold on a sec, a new topic has just been posted; it reads:
    Subject: Kill the caveman
Message: BWAYAYAYAYHAHAHHAHHH YA YAY A YOUR MOM <3
Oh that is so funnny I think I will reply to it nowââ,¬Â¦
   My Reply: GHEYZORS x15!!!!11
Now back to what I was telling you all. We really don't have any purpose  here other than to further decay youth that comes to us wanting to be a part of something. We like to humiliate 10 year old  girls by telling them we would like to rape them. We also find it absolutely funny to post child pornography, and show it to them. We  can't get in trouble, quit taking the internet so seriously. I mean what could possible happen to us? We are on the internet and just make  flash. I hope one day the government doesn't arrest our current patron who funds our activities; because then we wouldn't have a  website anymore. Give us back our website? We are sorry and do appreciate the things you do, until the next time you get mad at us for  something idiotic we have done.
In closing, we are nothing more than a group of individuals who  contribute nothing to society; we are the Clock Crew, we are a fading  trend.
P.S. You can see an exclusive example of what I am speaking of by going to the following URL: http://www.clocktopia.com/bbs

I think he meant his wookie of a wife was getting upset with him spending all day on internet forums instead of combing her hair for ticks.

I still have an MP3 of some overproduced speech he recorded after he was puked out by the CC but have actually never listened to it beyond the first two seconds.

What I remember of it:

Shortly before Clock Day 2005, control over clockcrew.net passes from Magic to Bit who is some new guy? I think Bit had been an NG member for longer but he still kind of came out of nowhere. Providing hosting and a nifty radio service, plus with everyone being super positive around Clock Day, Bit is initially embraced.

Time passes. Bit distributes mod powers as he sees fit, which as Corpsey mentions doesn't sit right with the senior members. Bit tries to ignore insults and sounds of dissent but is starting to cry inside because his ego isn't internetproof.

Bit wants to build and expand the CC site into a media hub to rival and beat that of Newgrounds. Constant radio broadcasting, selling t-shirts, stickers, possibly cartoons on DVD. Problem 1, Bit himself lacks the technical know-how or artistic skills to push this. Problem 2, people think he wants too much too fast and plans to line his own pockets with the profits, plus turn the CC into another indistinguishable pile of internet poop like Ebaums or Fark. Bit sheds more inside tears but we're starting to feel the drops.

Popular members get banned for things that would be laughed off by others. Bit makes a big issue of underage bbs members, citing personal responsibility as owner of the server, after Blackmagic and some other guy make some risqué jokes at some young clock. They get banned. People cry havoc. They get unbanned. Bit intends to ban all members under 16 or so but relents after everyone disagrees about this (also, there's some 13 year old girl or something making pretty good Flash who people don't want banned). Bit silently pouts to himself.

Getting no respect, Bit defaces the bbs a few times - switching the color scheme to bright clashing colors and embedding screeching noise, claiming "this is my anger". Eventually Bit agrees to leave us alone if other members foot the bill for the server. Only problem is, Bit doesn't leave us alone. He keeps popping in with his admin powers to ban people he wants and fuck around. Payments for the server are missed and as a response, Bit blocks off the site.

We move to a temporary second site. People discuss in great detail what a cock Bit is and because he was unsmart enough to mention his wife a few times (by name), people insult her as well. Bit assumably reads some of this and puts up extensive messages about how much the CC hurt his feelings. Eventually we return to cc.net but it seems like Bit has taken up the reins of the Clock Crew once again, for god knows what reason. This can't go right and it doesn't. Claiming someone called up his house to insult his wife again, Bit shuts off the site for good. He puts up a few more messages about how much he hates the CC and finally lets it go as we move beyond his grasp!

So that's basically what happened between Clock Days 05-06.

Man, what the fuck was I doing when this all went down?

In retrospect, it's pretty entertaining. But I imagine at the time it was a fucking nightmare.

Near the end, didn't he like ask everyone to sign over the rights to our characters to him?

When Battery got banned we made a bunch of drawings about Bit on that site feature, I forgot the name? Maybe Pirate still has the ZIP-file.

RobClock

Quote from: Uncle Toni;1843503I won't deny that there was a fun aspect to it. Some great jokes came out of it, we got to go to Strange's Clocktopia for a while which was fun for a bit (it was fairly anarchic because we all wanted a break from the BitClock banning. The 700 pixel avatars and the like got old pretty damn quick though) and it was actually a bizarrely productive time for some really cool flash and some damn decent folks made it endurable and even enjoyable.

There was bad blood and angsty drama and fights and all that but it wasn't all bad.

Remember when Magic uploaded gigs and gigs of illegally pirated shitty emo music.

GreyClock

Quote from: Uncle Toni;1843507He was establishing a Clock Crew copyright and the CC characters were going to be included individually in that.

There was the problem, however, that a lot of clocks use specific brands for their clocks, like Pepsi.
No the problem is why in hell.

Quote from: Uncle Toni;1843507The sketch function. I still have a bunch of them. They were generally saying "free battery/urchin" and bashing rupee and bit.
Well post them already.

AbsintheClock

I remember giving him the "Nazi Faggot" image with the swastika. I will say whatever we did to him, he kind of deserved it. Leaving his phone number for the Golden Faggot Bars, giving out information to where his business website was, and telling different people different things that were obviously designed to turn people on each other. Overall he was a manipulative, self destructive, egotistical bastard who thinks too highly of himself and his intellect.

BluezombieClock

That guy was a total fuckin square

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten that. I think he wanted everyone who wanted their character used in merchandise to sign a waiver giving up their creative rights to the character, or something. that didn't go over well.

Quote from: Uncle Toni;1843535Had sort of a "last king of scotland" feel to it.

I never thought of it like that, but yeah, chatting with Bit was a lot like talking to Idi Amin.

Trying to run the CC kind of broke his mind, though it probably wasn't very sturdy to begin with. I think Laura was just his girlfriend but through repetition of jokes people started referring to her as his wife.
