I just rented this movie today and finished watching it just now.
Now, I don't know what the general consensus on the movie is, but I loved every second of it and it had the kind of fight scenes I've been wanting movies to have since forever.
Then again, I'm a sucker for badass violence.

Yeah, it was great balls out action, the political commentary was kinda cool too.

Well, the consensus among critics was that it was shit, but it seems to me that the same thing is happening with Shoot 'Em Up as with Snakes On a Plane. The filmmakers are definitely aiming for cult-status, which is certainly what they're achieving, as I haven't met a single guy who didn't like the movie.

saw it in the cinema and i fucking loved it.

The movie was so awesome I almost made a thread when he jammed the carrot through the guy's head.

For about a week after seeing that movie I always had a carrot in my mouth.
