Marlin Clock

Maybe they buy their dogs from Vienna Beef. They're really just a hotdog manufacturer, it's vendors who sell it and advertise it as vienna beef dogs.

nice thats better then american

Quote from: CadillacClock;1573980I don't see the controversy or how this is in anyway eye-brow raising. Even more so, coming from Americans. There are thousands of people barred from America and many for much lighter (if existent) offenses on a regular basis.

The No Fly List is also in full effect and Homeland Security will defend it to the death.

Not allowed on a plane is in to way the same as being banned from a whole country.
And show me a list of people like Britains that names people to be banned based on political views. That means they didn't actually commit a crime or were previously convicted and sentenced. No, the FBI most wanted list doesn't count. And entering through an illegal channel is also not the same.
lemayo lol :soups:

Quote from: CadillacClock;1574166Pardon? Did you just skim through those who were banned? I'm pretty sure they're not all political activist nor good samaritans.

Why not? They clearly cannot enter or leave the Country because of it. Furthermore, it is just as involved with the Government.

They are not allowed to enter America due to a blockade by Homeland Security but that is entirely different?

You are more fearful of Britain having a single and open list of rejections than the vast amount of people denied and or persecuted by the FBI, Homeland Security, and the CIA -- generally done privately?

I'm sure I could find a long list of those whom have been banned from America but can we start with John Lennon and Cat Stevens?

So apparently you don't understand the difference between actively committing illegal crimes without serving a sentence and having an opinion.
Like I said, I don't beleive the Phelps or Micheal Weiner have committed crimes (or even advocated violence), only expressed opinions, but were banned.
On top of that, many people already in the country do the SAME THINGS as people on the list and also might not be citizens but in the country legally, but they aren't being banned. Why? Because this list is an attack on these people specifically, the British government is so low that it PERSONALLY ATTACKS individuals.
Also a list of people you think are banned but aren't clearly doesn't meet requirements.

I'm trying to say these people haven't committed crimes themselves (or they did but already severed a sentence after being convected). I'm usually for proactive prevention, but disallowing a person into a country on the basis of mostly or solely on politics is not acceptable for any country who claims to be free, you could possibly argue that they would directly commit a crime when they are in the country, but they would need to have a recent chronic history of violent crimes or some other acceptable evidence to suggest that.
Also, I don't really know the specific laws of Britain, but I know a few. In particular, that it is much easier to sue for liable in Britain then in America, and this can easily be considered slander. I also know that British law generally favors government control (which isn't really a surprise coming from a ex-monarchy state).
