Quote from: AirPumpClock;1613974I think the second most glaring problem (aside from this ripping off TF2) is that it makes you pay real money for better weapons. Kinda like MapleStory! :O

Lol I didn't even know this. Of course people will pay anything to deck out their very own anime character, this has been proven time and time again.

I really think I've played this before. I have no idea what it was called when I did, but I did.

Edit: Oh, I remember now. It was a custom Quake II map that looked almost exactly like the giant room this takes place in. All of the other players looked like anime girls or just bizarre things. That was a long time ago.

Pay for something that doesn't exist, Korean "pirates" get money. And if it's anything like MapleStory, they'll make you pay to keep the imaginary shit you bought, too.

It's a scheme, yeah, but not a pyramid scheme.  A pyramid scheme was if they would then make you recruit other people to play the game and buy shit and you get dividends of the shit they bought while the people who recruited you would also get dividends of the money you get from the people who bought stuff, and then the people you recruited had to recruit people to buy stuff...
You know, like a pyramid.

It's a pyramid scheme from the fact that as soon as someone buys the 1337 gun, everyone around that person is going to want to buy it. Rinse and repeat for pyramid.

Marlin Clock

You guys don't seem to get this. This is not a Pyramid scheme. They are selling virtual possessions, and people buy them. That is just a business practice. If this game for some I'm a edgy teen reason allows players to buy clothes and then lets players sell them while giving a portion of those profits back to the game company then that would be a pyramid scheme, but as is this is just another game with virtual transactions.

pyramid scheme:

"give me your money, I'll give it back to you later with interest"
receive money
"give me your money, I'll give it back to you later with interest"
receive money and pay off previous loan
repeat

A Fonzie scheme is when you smack a jukebox and give free music to ladies, thereby expecting (and getting) sex in return.  There's no way this scheme can fall apart because you are Fonzie (until you jump a shark).

Quote from: Mr. Super Awesome Man;1611309Mind you that I've never played TF2, but when you're making a game, any game, the game is bound to be exactly the same as another, much more famous, successful, and generally fun to play game

How I read this post.

Do your homework before the next time you compare two games that you've never played.
