abandonware isn't a legal term you big dorkus

adobe isn't enforcing their copyright on orphaned software, but that doesn't mean they don't own the copyright, and it doesn't make violations of that copyright legal. that's just not how copyright law works.
gog.com specifically specializes in finding copyright holders to abandonware because they can't be legally sold without licensing or permission from the copyright holder. just because nintendo is no longer producing copies of baten kaitos doesn't mean it's legal for me to just start pressing my own. i might get away with it, but that's not because it's legal, it's because the copyright holder doesn't have a vested legal or financial interest in devoting money or resources toward defending that particular copyright.

Don't be using super outdated software, you'll never grow as an animator. It's probably best to move on to pirating toonboom or tvpaint and learning those, it'll benefit you in the long term because you'll be able to use professional, actual animation software.

Saying you'll never grow as an animator might be a little much, but there really isn't a reason to be using old software with that on the table
