Finished the extra animation, and dispatched to BB10 for final review.

excellent post-credits scene!

it shall be used in the Void III collab. (assuming that other people will want to help with this)

I have a strong belief that if the Void series is completed, some mind-shattering crazy shit is going to happen in the world... Some sort of a revelation...

I think if we're serious about a Void III revival collaboration project, it shouldn't be done in the traditional collaboration style of cutting up a bunch of scenes for different animators or whatever.

What if everyone could suggest loose ideas, and we used those to tie together a basic plot outline that we use to make a storyboard and/or animatic, then we either go 2D or 3D. 3D is probably a better pipeline for a bunch of different people working together efficiently, but I'm guessing the CC in general has less 3D animation experience. 2D the roles would mostly be split up between storyboarding, roughing out the frames, then cleanup and inbetweens, and then colouring and shading. We could have multiple cleanup, inbetween, colouring and shading artists, but having multiple rough animators might make it look a little jarring maybe.

That's a lot of organisation required, not sure what you all feel like regarding that.

I tried doing a pipeline collabo a few years ago but both I and other folks lost interest p. quick

Yeah that makes sense. I think super organised stuff like that probably only works in studios where you have managers and shit and you're getting paid for putting up with all the shit.

this sounds like a good idea, but i think that we should stick with the 2-D animation format.
(like a traditional flash collab, only drawn in the traditional, dark art-style of the void series. (as seen in the void 1 and 2 episodes) )

the storyboards and the use of 3-D animation in special scenes are good ideas, tho!

yes, i know that. some hackers attacked our site, and as a result, we lost our ''Void III'' collaboration thread.
and because of that, all the people's morale got really low, koala left, and slurpee got dissapointed by all this.

but we shouldn't give up.
i believe that we can do this, and we can complete what blue started.
we will write some CC history, and we will become legendary.
a bit of work is a small price for such glory!

lets do this, folks!

throw ideas/story suggestions/describe the mythos of the Void universe/the vortex/the nature of the Void/the role of the ''dirt-clock'', aka the guardian/describe the role of the 3 colour clocks that warn us of our horrible future.

Oh man, how cool would it be if we had a Clock Crew patreon or something, and we could submit projects and shit and get paid for making cool Clock Crew animations.

Wasn't there a CC pot of money at some point? I'm guessing not any more, or probably super small and only really for maintaining the site. But pie in the sky idea there, big shared pot of CC money to give out to fund cool projects.

I think it could maybe work, since I've noticed shit loads of people actually remember the CC, but mostly for posting bad spam movies everywhere. I'm sure you could spin the advertising a bit to make it sound more like a charity that's aimed at supporting young animators or something, which it basically would be.

If we could get anybody to fund a CC Patreon at this point that would be amazing.

If you're talking about the fund you're thinking of, Tree got a generous donation of all of it unbeknownst to us til after the fact

immediate problem: how do you divide revenue? if it's basically just commissioning projects within the group that might be something, but also not really, i dunno, i sort of dont want money anywhere near this holy palace

My idea is basically someone trustworthy deal with the patron. People submit pitches in the forum, with a bunch of preproduction and stuff, and people can vote or whatever on what projects they most want to see come to light, then the patron master offers an amount of money based on how long the project will take.

There would be a bunch of work making sure everything's not fucking up I reckon, and I imagine there'd be a lot of negotiation, but being contractors to "the Clock Crew" would be amazing for animators looking to do more serious and time-consuming work. Maybe the up in quality would even attract more people, the promise of money might even encourage more clocks.

At this point I don't think we could possibly damage the CC or anything like that, this place is pretty much dead already anyway, but this might be a cool new direction to keep it alive for a bit longer. The biggest problem would obviously be finding the people willing and capable of pulling it all off.

I even know quite a few out-of-a-job yet extremely talented animators that would love to collaborate in exchange for living costs, we could make properly decent short animations.

Hey I forgot to take a picture but back in 03 Blue said he was actually planning to star RCColaClock in the Void III and there was gonna be this scene where Strawberry hands the crown over to RC and RC becomes king and makes BB10 vice king. So I feel it would only be right to respect the direction he wanted to go in.
