You sound like someone on the NG BBS!!!
Quote from: EdipusClock;910307I find Blackmagic a vital contributer to the thread, if not only because he points out individual points in the movie that, out of the context of the rest of them, we can address distinctly and percieve their flaws clearer.
?
Didn't I do that?
All blackmagic did was say there is no way to know the truth and say "faith, faith, faith"

I mean he brought up certain points the movie made, which gave us the opportunity to address them individually. Like all the ways they confused gods as well as outright lied about most of them. Which we addressed.

My first remark upon seeing this is that I automatically distrust anything including the phrase "Zeigeist". As much of a german fanboy as I am, every time I have heard that word it has been out of the lips of a pretentious fucktard. I found this movie to be no different.

PART 1:

First off, the stuff about Horus equaling Christ is a total crock of bullshit. I have NO IDEA how anybody could even try to pass this off as legitimate. There are NO LEGENDS WHATSOEVER that relate to what they showed in the video. This was the most frustrating part to watch. As much as I love silly conspiracy theories, this is by far the most I'm a edgy teen piece of shit I have ever seen. Even more I'm a edgy teen than Loose Change, which is pretty hard to top.

There is heavy historical suggestion of Jesus's actual existence, but the reason no major Roman historian wrote about him was because NOBODY CARED at the time. To roman eyes he was just one of the many random judaean rabble-rousers who were crucified. He didn't have a massively popular following like they think.

Why would the Romans invent all this shit? "Hey, we've got this unpopular little cult called 'Christianity'. Let's make it a state religion and control people WOOHOOO!!!!". Romans hated the Christians, especially after Nero blamed them for the burning of Rome (rumored to be the result of Nero's own incompetence) and started the infamous "throw 'em to the lions" religicide schtick. If they wanted to indoctrinate people into submission, Christianity was NOT the way to go, which is why Constantine ended up splitting the empire and moving the Byzantine when he declared Christianity the new state religion.

PART 2:

See Loose Change for more details. This has been disproved a bunch of times.

Simply put, if this was true, SOMEBODY would say SOMETHING. But nobody has. Don't give me this intimidation crap, this plot would require the cooperation of loads of people to keep their mouths shut but we haven't heard a peep out of anyone, not even in these shitty documentaries.

PART 3:

The bankers are evil! The corporations are taking our SOULS! A bit paranoid, but ok, I can dig that.

Dude, we TRIED doing without a central bank. It's called the ARTICLES OF CONFEDERATION, you dipshits, and it didn't work.

(Oh and as a side note, I find it funny that they cite a quote by William Jennings Bryan... considering he was a zealous Fundamentalist creationist who pretty much washed up after a circus debate over trying to ban evolution from being taught in schools)

I could watch the Lusitania conspiracy theory without vomiting but the whole FDR/Pearl Harbor thing made me blow chunks all over my keyboard.

Honestly, 911 has nothing to do with Iraq. But I will give them credit for the likeness between Hitler's and Bush's regimes.

While I admit that the government is pretty sneaky and corrupt, the whole thing about pop culture being a weapon of the Man is just pure paranoia. While it is decadent and idiotic, the government has no part in it. Americans have just become that stupid on their own.

The "Amero"? Why the fuck would anyone create a new currency for a unified north america when the dollar is already the most commonly accepted currency on the continent, especially in Mexico? Huh? And even if that's true, it's downright idiotic to say that making a new standard currency equals the destruction of the constitution and the enslavement of the American people.

Yeah, we will have one world government, that's what happens when people stop raiding each other's tribes long enough talk to each other. In fact, we already have a world government, it's called the UN... just nobody gives a shit about it.

Even so, no self-respecting man-behind the curtain would ever say "we can restrict peoples' liberties" and "our ultimate goal is to make digital chips in everybody so we can control them". At that point they might as well just start twirling their mustaches and let fly with a hearty cackle.

I must admit the chip idea is realistically scary though. But that idea has been around for ages.

In summary, the total thing was a huge load of fuck. Yes, fuck is a noun. Many points cite believable evidence, but I don't know my stuff about the economic/political points... but I have studied religion and mythology enough (heck, that doesn't matter, you'd only need a rudimentary grasp of the subject) to know that the first third of the movie was almost entirely fabricated. (I don't care if he cited his sources, whoever made the sources were on some serious dope) Therefore this casts doubt over the validity over the rest of the movie. If the first part is undeniably a load of made-up shit, what's stopping me from assuming the rest of the movie isn't a load of made-up shit? In fact, if whoever made this had just omitted the first part, they would have been alot more believable, but instead they had to totally ruin their credibility with the "Jesus is Horus" bullshit.

Simply put, I wanted to go to bed early but this load of hooey made me upset enough to watch it and then write an angry review...  >Z(

Arabs crashed planes into the twin towers, and the buildings fell down (also the pentagon and an open field). What else do you need to know?

lol

conspiracy wise

apart from the obvious, "if it was true, the government wouldnt allow the video to go out and the maker would be dead," why couldn't it have been a planned attack

You'll probably have to invest some time into this if you are really curious.

To get the general conspiracy's side of the story watch the second part of zeitgeist movie and then the most popular one on the net, loose change.

A good counter argument I've seen is screw loose change. It literally counters EVERY argument made in loose change. It's three hours long, but I liked seeing how wrong the children who made loose change are.

What about the band Zeitgeist?

lol im at the lightpole argument
ok first they say if the lightpoles were bent like that, where are the wings? then they say that it was a missile. if it was a missile how were the lightpoles bent O_o

ah, it's refreshing to see that someone else on here sees how ridiculous their scenarios are.:D

Come on, man, when are you going to let it go? When someone shows you that this assumption is wrong, what is the next detail you'll scrounge up to say "Well, what about thiiis?"

Ti-83Clock

its sooo late i only got about half an hour into the second movie
quite interesting though

i first was somewhat biased against the unprofessional approach of "screw" loose change, but it does tell the facts with evidence.

cant wait for tomorrow, when i can get to the more convincing loose change parts

It's called bringing up a discussion point. And I still don't believe debris could have knocked down WTC7. That's preposterous.

How does a fire burn through steel, but not a passport?

AMPEEEM

I just watched it with my Dad and his friends. It was really great, especially the first portion on religion. All the stuff about 9/11 and war and money was really great, too.

I cried a lil

PolyhedronClock

I'm glad for the bump. I missed this thread in my 5 month absence, and was pretty intresting.

AMPEEEM

Quote from: WhiteClock;1240925Did you seriously search this out and bump it just to post that? God damn.

Whatever, 911 was not a conspiracy. There are far to few facts that would dictate otherwise. All of the facts portrayed in this film were terrible. All of which have been debunked.

As for religion, religion in itself is bullshit. But, if you can worship a fairytale, you can believe in this crappy film too.

:/ Thats some bull shit my friend.

Loki Clock

It would have been nice at the time for someone to have pointed out that steel loses half it's strength at 500º... Still, the passport should have burnt even a little if it came from inside the plane after it hit the towers. The buildings wouldn't have come down at free-fall speed.

DUDE

heh know what?
if you research illuminati you will kinda find the proof that god exists :)

... If you type in "Illuminati" on google, you get a ton of conspiracy shit.

I also found so many problems with part 1 that if you believe it, you're I'm a edgy teen.

When the zodiac was first created, which came after the Torah*, it was originally 18 symbols. Aquarius also comes before pisces.

*the Torah had the Moses-calf thing before the bible.

The 9/11 think can EASILY be debunked so I'm not gonna go through that.

Part 3 really scared my non-Jew friends, but being a Jew, I'm not scared at all since I run the NWO
