I'm reading Dune.  It's real dense but worth it.

It's definatley worth it. One of the best books ever IMO, and the series was ripped off by the matrix.

I recently read that, it was way better than the movie (and the movie is really good.)

I have been reading Moby Dick. Most of it is amazing except when he goes of on tangents for way too long.

Right now I'm reading The Calculus Wars by Jason Bardi. It's about Newton and Leibniz and their arguments over which one deserves the right to claim that they invented calculus. Though the writing style leaves something to be desired, the story's great.

Harry potter and the order of the phoenix,Dune,Why in the world adventures in geography,Eragon,Psychic discoveries behind the iron curtain,A guide to the prophets,The martial arts.  In Psychic discoveries behind the iron curtain in russia they almost could (by almost it had a 20% chance to) beam news into your head (psycicly) by using a strange machine (i have not got that far) so thats cool and yeah thats all the books im reading right now

I was hiding in the public library whilst shirking some of my responsibilities, when this book called to me from the shelf.

Having a few hours to go before the time in which I'd regularly arrive at my next appointed stop after the aforementioned shirked responsibilities, I decided to kill time by reading it.

It's very unsettling.
All kinds of horrible things we see occur in the book are done by characters that are so human, so real, that it took me well out of my comfort zone.

I think anybody who's ever slacked off could see shadows of themselves in the main character's actions, where a minor, harmless crime cascades into an ultimately self-destructive wave of mutilation. I realized, with a start, near the middle of the book, that he'd murdered almost every other character in the story.

It probably didn't help that I was in the middle of a much lamer cascade into possibly failing Trig at the time. (I am now failing Trig btw. Cautionary tale noted and ignored forthwith, I guess.)
