i am right though, and namedropping really has nothing to do with sharing bands you like, it's the act of trying to gain points with people who also know the band(not this board) or the act of naming as many bands as possible others don't know of(not cool anywhere on the internet really, more of a "i know this town's music scene better than anyone" game)
either way it's v. pointless

and since i think anyone who goes about all "i'm hot shit" should know the difference, i'm calling him out on it

I'm a friend of Amontillado, but I do think he's a bit over the top on that last comment he made. Let's just all agree that music is a value in itself, and that people who use it to make themselves superior or distinct are just proving their faggotry.

VNV Nation - Judgement

It's nothing wildly new (except maybe nemesis) but it's a very solid album. Carry You is like the new Beloved".

I bought that because the songs sounded good on the radio, when I actually bought it I realized they have the lyric writing talent of a downs syndrome suffering Good Charlotte. The music is decent when you get past that though, even if it's kinda generic.
