A few days ago I got a Beirut 7" which contained Elephant Gun, Transatlantique, and Interior of a Dutch House.

I also got Sufjan Stevens - Illinois and Neutral Milk hotel - On Avery Island last week.

Illinois is a superb album. It's folk and indie mainly.

Anyway I bought Turn On The Bright Lights by Interpol a few days ago. I don't really need to buy any albums, but I like buying my favorites just out of principle.

Yeah, I only buy superb albums, or cheap good albums. You won't be able to pass your mp3 collection onto your children...

It's nice to have your favorite music in a concrete form. I keep thinking I'll forget all about them and find all these old dusty CDs in my attic or something.

I almost bought Writers Block today, but it was €12, and I decided to go for the 4 for €30 deal instead. (I was gonna get Sufjan Stevens - The Avalanche and Writer's Block for €25 total). I'll probably get writer's block when it's at €10 or something, it's a great album.

Steely Dan - Gaucho (very jazzy, probably my least favourite SD album but regardless an exceptional, incredibly tight sound. The introduction of "Babylon Sisters" and the lyrics on the title track, "Gaucho" are absolutely divine)



Electric Light Orchestra - On the Third Day (An earlier, more progressive sounding ELO album, my favourite. Awful cover, though)
